“ | Thank you all for coming, I wish you could all be here under better circumstances... We appear to have a few guests short... I'm surprised them, all of people, didn't show up. The whole reason I hosted this event was because of what THEY did... I need to go check on dinner. | „ |

~ A newspaper article, describing Zach Nolan's murders and arrest. |
Jack Logan, better known by his alias Zach Nolan and briefly as the Mouse, is the main antagonist of the Camping franchise.
He is a wealthy man who went insane after his daughter, Emma, was killed in a car accident, and vowed revenge on the family that accidentally took her life. After slaughtering the family that caused the accident (minus the Son), he began targeting other people who came to other unrelated campgrounds to satisfy his own bloodthirsty nature. He is the arch-nemesis of Nightmare.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- After the father of a family of five accidentally killed his daughter in a car accident, he went insane and sought out to murder not only the father, but also his entire family
- He invited his entire neighborhood to his mansion with the purpose of killing the Family of Five. When they didn’t show up, though, he resorted to killing the completely innocent visitors instead.
- After the visitors managed to escape, he was shown to have followed them back home, with the most logical conclusion being that he murdered them to hide his true nature from the public and eliminate any witnesses.
- He put his daughter’s soul inside a monstrous robot suit, which he then unleashed inside the hotel where the family was staying at. The monster would go on to brutally murder at least one innocent person and attempt to kill the players.
- In the secret ending of Hotel, he killed the player once they found him, saying that he couldn’t have them interfering.
- This also implies that he was stalking the family in the hotel.
- He murdered the Family of Five while they were camping.
- Even if the Son managed to escape, it caused him to go insane and transform into Nightmare, making him indirectly responsible for the events of Camping as well.
- While he did plead guilty to his charges after getting caught, it was most likely just to get a reduced sentence, as opposed to genuine remorse, especially since he continued killing after breaking out of prison.
- After being imprisoned, he escaped confinement and continued his murder spree, despite already getting his revenge, out of pure bloodlust and insanity.
- He went to Terra Park and attempted to murder the campers there.
- He activated several mines placed around the campsite to try and kill the campers.
- When the campers went off with Park Ranger Daniel, he placed a gun in Daniel's shed to frame him for his actions.
- This would lead to the campers discovering the gun and, in the Bad Ending, shooting Daniel after suspecting him to be the killer, effectively making Zach responsible for his death.
- In the Bad Ending, he would succeed in killing all the campers, escaping any repercussions.
- He attempted to kill the campers, only to be stopped and killed himself by the Son.
- After being revived and placed into a mechanical mouse suit by his daughter, he decided to continue his murderous rampage.
- He brutally murdered Park Ranger Steve in front of the players by mauling him to death and proceeded to attack them right after.
- Afterwards, he would taunt the campers by using Steve's blood to write a threatening message.
- He was indirectly responsible for the campers killing and cannibalizing one of their members due to his presence at the campsite sending the campers into a nearby cave to seek shelter from him and becoming trapped by an avalanche, resorting to cannibalism to survive.
- He attempted to break into the lodge to get inside and kill the campers. After failing, he teamed up with his daughter Limbo to try and kill them.
- After he and Limbo attacked the players, he managed to knock them out with lightning. He and his daughter then trapped them inside of a minecart and tried to push them off the cliff.
- Despite having a tragedy of his daughter getting accidentally killed by the Father, it ultimately doesn't make him tragic for two main reasons:
- The murder was completely by accident, and the Father was shown to be remorseful for doing so, as he apologized to Zach at the end of Camping 3.
- Even after murdering the family and getting his revenge, he still continued to kill innocent people who had nothing to do with his daughter's death out of bloodlust and an insatiable desire to kill.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- While his backstory certainly didn't make him tragic, it's still played for a bit of sympathy, as the Father apologized to him at the end of Camping 3, which was what caused Zach to realize the errors of his ways.
- His death was played for sympathy, with sad music playing as he falls to his death after saving the players.
- He genuinely loved his daughter, Emma Logan, as all of his crimes were motivated by avenging her death by killing the family who accidentally ran her over.
- When the Father apologized for accidentally killing his daughter, Zach ultimately forgave him and redeemed himself, sacrificing his life to stop the minecart with the players inside from going off the cliff.
Trivia[]
- During Camping 2 and Hotel, which was Zach's first two appearances in the series in release date order, he was seen by the audiences as Pure Evil, as he seemingly showed zero redeeming qualities at the time. Come Mansion, it was revealed that Zach genuinely cared for her daughter and Camping 3 saw his redemption and Zach realizing the errors of his crimes.
- He's the only Roblox villain to be both Inconsistently Heinous and Inconsistently Admirable at the same time.
