Yharim is the main antagonist of the Terraria Calamity Mod. He is a tyrannical figure whose base of operations is mainly located in the Jungle, hence his title: 'The Jungle Tyrant'.
His Evil Ranking[]
What makes him heinous?[]
- He had Calamitas envelope the sea in scorching Brimstone flames because the Sea King Amidias refused to help him in his schemes which killed off countless innocent lives and led to the creation of Crabulon and also caused the Desert Scourge to go insane, to which it killed and ate the residents of the sea kingdom,
- He had Calamitas wreck havoc upon the what is now the Brimstone Crags, likely killing many people and causing the Brimstone Elemental to be as violent and furious as she is right now.
- After he made his deal with the Devourer of Gods, he threw his two of his most troublesome enemies into the Devourer's pocket dimension and listened to the screams of the two demigods as they were torn to shreds and eaten by his newfound pet.
- Imprisoned Permafrost the Archmage in his own ice castle, which is actually Cryogen.
- Sent the Devourer of Gods to kill Astrum Deus to leave the cosmos free for him to take over.
- When he came to power, he successfully took over many other kingdoms, capitals and cities. This involves mass manslaughter and those who were not killed were imprisoned.
- Disposed the bodies of his victims into the Oceans which the pollution led to the creation of the Sulphurous Sea and the creation of the Aquatic Scourge and the Old Duke. This is after he couldn't dispose of the bodies he dumped into the Dungeon because it accidentally created the vengeful Polterghast, so he began disposing of victims into the Ocean to prevent the beast from becoming stronger.
- Tried to clone his pet dragon and second in command, Yharon. The results ended up in the Dragonfollies, and due to the mutations in these failed clones they caused tons of destruction in the Jungle.
- Attempted to weaponize the Queen Bees, leading to the (somewhat accidental) creation of the Plaguebringer Goliath which utilized infectious nanomachines that were also somewhat created on accident. Like all previous experiments conducted by Yharim's tyranny, this also caused lots of deaths.
- When Calamitas tried to rebel against Yharim due to her doubts, he cursed her which drove her insane and forced her to return to serving him.
What makes him inconsistent?[]
- Genuinely cares about his pet Yharon and were it not for Yharon's loyalty, Yharim would've died from his own sadness long ago.
- Is extremely tragic, being cast into lava as a child but was saved by a newly hatched Yharon as well as having depression as mentioned by Yharon. Yharim also has somewhat anti-villainous intentions as he wants to create and rule the universe and liberate it from the oppressive rule of other gods even if it meant he had to commit multiple genocides.
- As Yharim is the writer of the lore items, it is shown he expresses remorse and regret over his actions.
- Yharim also has some form of standards, as he doesn't really approve of the creation of Skeletron Prime, a machine created to cause pure terror and destruction, unlike the other two mechanical bosses which had more practical uses.
- Speaks affably to the Terrarian in the lore items, and in the final lore item, he directly addresses them and tells them to come face him in battle, showing a sense of honor.
