Yellow Diamond is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Blue Diamond) of the Steven Universe franchise. She is a member of the Great Diamond Authority, the rulers of the Gem Homeworld.
She was voiced by Patti LuPone.

What Makes Her Heinous?[]
- She personally colonized hundreds of planets to expand their empire. At least one of these planets was confirmed to have been inhabited by organic life, and she explicitly ordered her fleet to destroy them.
- She threatened to shatter the commander of the fleet and the rest of the army if they failed to colonize a planet they were invading.
- Although she did care about Pink Diamond, it's stated that she and the other Diamonds would imprison her if she didn't conform to their empire's standards.
- She, along with Blue Diamond and White Diamond, attempted to obliterate all of the rebelling Gems on Earth. This ended up accidentally corrupting them, which was shown to be a horrible fate itself.
- She planned to destroy Earth out of spite after believing that Pink Diamond was shattered there. In order to do so, she intended to create the Cluster, a geo-weapon that would tear the planet apart.
- First, she had prototypes created out of the shattered remains of numerous Gems. She and her followers experimented on them and forcibly fused many of them together, resulting in them being in constant agony as they endlessly searched for their missing fragments.
- The Cluster itself was composed of millions of Gem shards and kept under Earth's surface for thousands of years, with the fractured consciousnesses of its components in an endless state of suffering.
- When Peridot turned against and insulted her, she tried to kill her by remotely detonating the device she used to contact her.
- She wanted to destroy the entire Rose Quartz species because she believed a Rose Quartz started the rebellion and shattered Pink Diamond. While Blue Diamond was keeping them protected, Yellow repeatedly tried to convince her to destroy them.
- When Steven (who she believed to be Rose) was put on trial, she immediately wanted to shatter him just for looking "hideous."
- When the Defense Zircon accused one of the other Diamonds of shattering Pink, she destroyed her physical form before doing the same to the Prosecuting Zircon for annoying her.
- She and Blue Diamond traveled to Earth and attempted to force the Cluster to emerge and destroy the planet.
- Upon noticing Steven, she immediately attacked and nearly killed him.
- Even after learning the truth about Pink Diamond faking her death, she still ended up imprisoning Steven (who she now believed to be Pink) and Connie for accidentally fusing. She also destroyed the physical forms of the Crystal Gems for trying to defend them.
- When Blue Diamond fought against her to protect Steven and then tried to reason with her, she painfully electrocuted her with her lightning in an attempt to destroy her physical form.
What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- She cares for both Blue and Pink Diamond.
- She wanted to destroy Earth to avenge Pink Diamond's supposed death. It's also shown that she wanted to destroy the planet, along with everything else associated with Pink, because trying to forget about them was her way of grieving. When Steven reads her mind, it is explicitly shown that she considers what happened to Pink to be her fault.
- She tried to make Blue Diamond feel better when she found her mourning Pink in the zoo she created. Although she later attacked Blue when she briefly turned against her, she clearly didn't want to (as evidenced by her pained expression) but genuinely felt like she had no other choice.
- She is sympathetic, since she was suffering under all the pressure put on her by White Diamond to spread her view of "perfection" across both their world and the worlds they colonized.
- She ultimately redeemed herself and eventually began to atone for her crimes by restoring the Gems she experimented on.
