The Wither Storm is the main antagonist of the Season Pass in the Telltale video game Minecraft: Story Mode.
It is a superpowered variant of the Wither created by Ivor through replacing one of the soul sand pieces with a command block. It went on a devastating rampage across the Overworld, absorbing everything in its path to grow even bigger than it already is.
Upon being destroyed by the Formidi-Bomb, the command block revives its severed parts into three different Wither Storms. It could only permanently be killed by an enchanted weapon specifically made to destroy the command block.
Its Evil Ranking[]
What Makes It Heinous?[]
- As soon as it was created, it started to destroy its surroundings by sucking in everything it saw, tearing apart countless buildings.
- It caused the deaths of several people which it saw, who were luckily resurrected upon its defeat.
- Through following Gabriel's amulet, it destroyed either Redstonia or Boom Town depending on where Jesse goes.
- It indirectly gave Petra and Gabriel an enhanced Wither sickness, which nearly caused a slow, painful death.
- Depending on whose armor Jesse takes, it killed either Magnus or Ellegaard by hitting him/her into a tree with a tendril.
- It was responsible for the death of Reuben, which devastated Jesse.
What Makes It Inconsistent?[]
- It has moral agency issues, as it was made by Ivor to defeat Gabriel to show the world Gabriel was a fraud, with Ivor programming it to follow Gabriel's amulet.
- While it rebelled against Ivor and ignored his orders to retreat, it was only because Ivor made it too powerful to be controlled rather than it gaining moral agency.
- It is a generic doomsday villain, with it showing no signs of personality whatsoever.
Trivia[]
- The Wither Storm is one of three Minecraft: Story Mode villains to be Inconsistently Heinous, alongside Aiden and Romeo.
