White Diamond is the main antagonist of Steven Universe. She is the supreme leader of the Homeworld Gems, outranking even the other Diamonds.
She was voiced by Christine Ebersole.

What Makes Her Heinous?[]
- She was responsible for all of the atrocities the Diamonds committed, either directly by having Gems colonize planets, or indirectly, by enabling the tyrannical behavior of the other Diamonds, and presumably allowing them to work on unethical experiments, such as the geo-weapon known as the Cluster.
- Her abuse of the other Diamonds clearly terrified them, with Yellow Diamond stating that she bubbled them as punishment. They even said that it was too much pressure for them.
- She, along with Yellow and Blue Diamond, tried to kill all of the rebelling Gems on Earth, but accidentally corrupted them, giving them an equally, if not more horrible fate.
- She was the one who brainwashed Pink Diamond's original Pearl and had her help enforce her rule over Homeworld.
- When the other Diamonds redeemed themselves and tried to get Steven back to Earth, White attacked them in order to prevent them from leaving.
- When Yellow and Blue tried to reason with her, saying that her standards were far too high, White responded by painfully brainwashing them, turning them into extensions of herself.
- After Steven confronted her, she took control of the other Crystal Gems and spoke through them, making them "thank" her for making them "better."
- She continually taunted Steven about how he was actually Pink Diamond and was just trying to hide from everyone.
- Growing impatient, she ripped out Steven's gem in an attempt to bring Pink Diamond back. This nearly killed Steven himself.
- She used all of her powers to attack Pink Steven to force Pink Diamond to return.
- Even after her redemption, Steven was still traumatized by her actions and had a lot of suppressed anger towards her.
What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- After her defeat, she revealed her insecurities about not being seen as flawless. Steven convinced her that having flaws is perfectly fine and that she should let others have them as well, leading to her redemption where she helped cure the corrupted Gems.
- Following her redemption, she would allow Gems to control her as opposed to the other way around in order to find themselves.
- She truly cares about her family, as she just wanted to bring back Pink Diamond. She cares about Steven just as much, as she not only looked past him nearly hurting her in a misguided fit of rage, but also showed an incredible amount of concern over his mental health.
