Warden Mark Davis, more commonly known as simply the Warden, is the villainous main protagonist of the Adult Swim series Superjail!.
He is a ruthless and insane prison warden who created Superjail as a mean to express himself and due to his abusive father. He always is finding ways to get prisoners killed. Despite this, he does sometimes work with them to defeat threats to Superjail, and gets along well with them at times.
He was voiced by David Wain.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- He created Superjail, a place where hundreds of thousands of inmates got executed in brutal, gory fashions.
- He wanted to put the entire world into the Superjail, which would eventually result in billions of deaths due to harsh conditions and all the executions that happened.
- He set up a combat arena and had all the inmates fight each other to the death.
- At one point, he gained fire powers, causing him to burn the entire Superjail with everyone in it.
- He created Jailbot for the sake of getting as many new prisoners as possible for the Superjail.
- He often regularly abused Jared in very cruel ways out of sheer sadism.
- It was revealed he would declare world war should he succeed in making Superjail a franchise.
- While searching for his favorite childhood monster Manglefang, he tortured anyone who refused to believe in it.
- While the heinous standards of the series are astronomically high due to prisoners being killed on a regular basis, he stood out due to creating Superjail, which is responsible for the high heinous standards in the first place, as well as his body count being extremely high and his attempted body count being even higher.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- Like everything else in Superjail!, he is very frequently played for laughs often at times due to his mental instability and sometimes making really dumb choices, with his worst acts being played for black comedy and possibly being a parody of the Pure Evil Samuel Norton.
- Despite killing a bunch of inmates off, he had been shown to genuinely care about some of them at times.
- He is On & Off, as sometimes he helped in eliminating dangerous threats.
- He had felt love for a number of different ladies.
- Due to his sheer insanity, he often at times failed to comprehend what's really going on, giving him moral agency issues.
- He is shown to have standards such as he is still traumatized from his abusive childhood and openly admits his father's actions are bad memories, in "Time Police," he was shocked that the aforementioned time police punished him for things he would have done in the future, even though he hasn't done them yet and promised he wouldn't.
- He does have a genuine tragedy of being horribly abused by his greedy terrible father with at one point even being forced to outright kill a dog this is what most likely made him the mentally unstable sociopath he is now and while it doesn't justify his actions it is still played a lot for sympathy.
Trivia[]
- He is the only Superjail! villain to be Inconsistently Heinous due to the outrageously high heinous standard of him being the driving force in causing.
