Only one option remains... Those who harbor the greatest of magic, I call upon you... Make it so... Accept my aid... I pledge myself to you... Dark Lord of Destruction... I do this so that... our Dark Lord... may be rebooooorn... Rise, Destroyer of Worlds... RISE, VOID TERMINA!!
~ Hyness before throwing himself into the Jamba Heart, thereby resurrecting Void Termina.

Void Termina is the overarching antagonist of the Kirby franchise. Serving as the final boss of the 2018 video game Kirby Star Allies.

He is an ancient cosmic entity sealed away by four heroes millennia ago, who is seen as the deity of Hyness and the Jambastion Cult in modern times. He eventually turned out to be the root of all matter in the universe and is heavily implied to be the progenitor of Kirby himself.

He is voiced by Hirokazu Ando.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Heinous?[]

  • He is a threat to the entire universe, as his ultimate goal is to destroy it.
  • Even after defeat and sealing, he would continue to be a threat in the form of Jamba Hearts.
    • Since the Jambastion Cult worships him as a deity, he's the main one responsible for all of their crimes.
  • When the Jamba Heart was shattered in a botched ritual, his essence ended up spread across the universe, corrupting many innocent individuals, including King Dedede and Meta Knight.
  • The first thing he did upon being restored by Hyness was absorb him and the Three Mage Sisters.
  • After being restored, he would attempt to destroy the universe once again.
  • After his body was destroyed by Kirby and his allies, Void Termina made one last attempt to finish them off.
  • Overall, he's easily one of the most heinous villains in the Kirby franchise given what his goal is.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • Just like many Kirby villains, he's a generic doomsday villain with absolutely no personality or moral agency.
  • It is heavily implied that its actions are dependent on the environment where it is reborn. Due to Hyness being consumed by his hatred, Void Termina was reborn as a cataclysmic deity, contributing to its moral agency issues. However, in the non-canon Soul Melter EX ending, Void seems happy in its final moments, possibly indicating it could become an ally, or at least a neutral character in the future.
    • In Heroes in Another Dimension, it is likely that it was Void who opened the way for Kirby & his friends to save Hyness & the Three-Mage Sisters in Another Dimension as a response to Hyness's prayer within the Jamba Heart, which would ultimately lead to both their salvation and redemption. If so, then Void would be considered redeemed.
