Inconsistently Heinous Wiki
MePhone4

I think he can qualify for the wiki.

What's The Work?

Inanimate Insanity is a reality show similar to the likes of Total Drama and ESPECIALLY BFDI (which is the show's main inspiration, in fact) where object contestants compete to win a prize, 1 million dollars in Seasons 1 and 2, and something else for Season 3 (it was not specific until the very last episode of that series).

Who Are They?

MePhone4 is the gameshow's host and the series' main protagonist come Season 2A, Season 3, and especially 2B (it's complicated, the last 4 episodes of Season 2 were chronologically after Season 3, and viewers will not get some scenes in those episodes if they didn't watch Season 3), with more emphasis on how he wants to keep the show going to escape Cobs, even if it hurts the contestants emotionally, since the gameshow he created makes them suffer.

Heinous Standards?

Obviously, Steve Cobs is the worst character in the series. He attempted two genocides, one of which (specifically his genocide on the contestants through MePhoneX) was successful albeit reversed. However, I think MePhone4 is second place in terms of heinousness.

Just look how much weight is put into his action of creating the contestants the way they are in "Through No Choice Of Your Own"! Suitcase makes a point that the fact that he made Tissues someone who was always sick is disturbing. Knife even says that the contestants could've been anything, but he made them "broken". Also the fact that he created sentient life just to make them emotionally suffer for his own amusement (like when he pulled a surprise double elimination to create drama between Nickel and Suitcase or, generally, the fact that he was the one who made these personalities so that he can see the friends and enemies they make with each other) is already loads of personal villainy towards such a large group of contestants, with Suitcase, Nickel, and Balloon being notable examples. He also planned to keep the show going for as long as he can so that he can hide from Cobs and continue to make contestants suffer for his own amusement. This emotional abuse towards his creations is only made worse by Steve Cobs, so that means MePhone4 still stands out, because although Cobs takes more joy in making the contestants suffering (specifically when he revealed that MePhone4 created them), MePhone4 still started the emotional abuse by making them the way they are in the first place.

In conclusion, while not as heinous as Steve Cobs, he is more of a personal villain towards a lot of his creations than Cobs could ever hope to be, and at worst, the corrupt corn businessman only added insult to injury, which makes MePhone4's crime unique enough. He literally created the Inanimate Insanity contestants just to make them suffer for his own amusement, which is a whole new level of messed up for a relatively family-friendly web-series and something not even Cobs is responsible for. At least Cobs created MePhone4 and the other MePhones for entirely pragmatic purposes. MePhone4, on the other hand? He created the contestants to make them suffer! That's a unique crime that goes beyond just 30+ fates worse than death. I mean, sure, Invitational had contestants get over their troubles, but that doesn't change the fact that he was THIS BAD to his creations in Season 1 and ESPECIALLY Season 2.

Mitigating Factors?

Nah, MePhone doesn't have comedy going against him. His horrible actions started to be treated completely seriously by Truth or Flare, and especially Through No Choice Of Your Own, after it was revealed he created the contestants. However...

MePhone4 is incredibly tragic. He was abused by his creator, Steve Cobs, and ran away from him when he saw how badly Cobs abused MePhone3GS. He then created the gameshow Inanimate Insanity.

He also has immense care for MePad, because he helped him escape from Cobs after knowing about how badly he abused 3GS. He also mourned for his death.

He was also very affable towards the contestants, and is genuinely honorable, letting OJ, and latter, Cabby have their prizes for winning Inanimate Insanity. Even though he didn't think of a prize for Invitational, he still tried to think of one fitting for Cabby's interests. Even in Truth or Flare, he still did apologize for being dishonest with the contestants. And besides, the "twist" he hid was something that was already foreshadowed by him earlier in the episode, meaning Suitcase should've expected this.

And finally, MePhone4 redeems himself by getting the Shimmers to flee, revives all the contestants despite Cobs preventing from doing so, and leaving the contestants so that they can live a life outside of the gameshow he used to force them to not have a life outside of.

Final Verdict

Easy yes to MePhone4. And about him being a non-villain, I actually made a Villains Wiki page on him already, because I think he's enough of a villain to be on the wiki.

By the way, I was planning to propose Taco, because she seemingly tried to kill the Shimmers, but rewatching "Hatching the Plan", she definitely did not intend to do so, because the same gun she used on Fan only knocked him out, but didn't kill him.
