Inconsistently Heinous Wiki

I'm here to bring another Jason Voorhees to the IH Wiki.

What's the Work?

Friday the 13th is a survival horror video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System released by LJN Ltd. in 1989. It is an adaptation of the Friday the 13th film series, but it is an independent continuity because... you know, LJN.

Who Is He? What Make Him Heinous?

Jason Voorhees is the main antagonist of the Friday the 13th. You may know the backstory of canon Jason Voorhees, but they are almost never mentioned. In this continuity, Jason actively attempts to kill all six camp counselors and the children staying in the camp at Crystal Lake, forcing the camp counselors to stop Jason in order to survive his rampage. Based on your skill, his attempt could be unsuccessful, partly unsuccessful, or successful. Also, past victims of Jason would become "mindless undead" according to the official manual, and you can see many of them appearing nearly everywhere ("Zombies can appear on land or from underwater!!!") and attempting to attack you. Attacks from Zombies will result in you "lose some life energy".

Heinous Standards

This Jason Voorhees sets the heinous standard of the NES video game. Attempting to kill six camp counselors and the children staying in the camp are definitely passing the general heinous standard, and his heinous actions are not off-screen since you have to protect them. Also, this Jason has no competition. You may think about Jason's mother, but she does not even have a full name in this continuity, is without any stories, and is skipable in gameplay because her ghost only stays in a cave to protect an item without actively hunting people like Jason.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?

It is simple. This Jason lacks sufficient characterization because of lacking backstory. According to the manual, Jason won't hurt you when you wears sweater that was used to belong to Jason's mother, but it still cannot construct sufficient characterization, and the fact itself is a prevention.

Verdict

I vote to Yes to LJN Jason.
