Hello, everybody. Here's my second Friday Night Funkin' candidate and also my first Eddsworld candidate. This time, it's from an actual mod. I know Christmas is like three months from now on, but I just want to propose someone who I think can qualify. So, let's get into it.
What's the Work?
The Holiday Mod is a mod for Friday Night Funkin' by BBpanzu. It's a mod which is in a Christmas theme with several stories. The first week is just Boyfriend and Girlfriend celebrating Christmas while also getting involved in a hostage situation. The second week involves them having to stop an arial terrorist (if you are familiar, you probably know who that is, but if you don't, it's Tom).
Who is He? What Has He Done?
Thomas "Tom" Ridgewell is the main antagonist of Part 2 of the mod.
Tankman calls up Boyfriend and Girlfriend and says there's an arial terrorist that really hates Christmas and will destroy anything that has anything to do with it. So, they decided to sing a tune as loud as possible to reel them in and stop them. However, it doesn't go well as Tankman's vehicle gets blown up.
Boyfriend and Girlfriend then end up on top of a coke truck, so they began singing but then Mommy Mearest shows up and joins in. Somehow, they only notice her later, but they do notice her later. Mommy Mearest then gets blown up, and the arial terrorist is revealed to be Tom. Girlfriend then summons Pico to stop Tom, and later, Tom makes a deal to Boyfriend where if Tom wins, he gets to destroy the entire town, but if Boyfriend wins, he gets to destroy the entire town. Boyfriend then agrees so they begin rap battling, and Tom tries to blow up Boyfriend multiple times until Tom gets hit by a post causing him to fall off his sleigh.
What Makes Him Heinous?
Oh, come on, he doesn't pass the heinous standards, he demolishes it. He tried destroying a town and pretty much the other villains in the mod don't stand out from him. Pico and Sunday held billionaires as hostages but that clearly doesn't come close to trying to destroy a whole town. Zanta is also in the mod but the song he is from, "Zanta", is not canon to the mod as it's a song in Freeplay. Plus, all of Zanta's crimes in the mod amount to just bog-standard kidnapping and "kill-the-heroes" villainy.
Mitigating Factors?
Eh, nah. All of his redeeming qualities his original version has is not carried into the mod like, at all. Sure, he assists, or at least tries to assist, in stopping Zanta in the song "Zanta", but I already mentioned that isn't canon for a reason that's also already mentioned, with it being a Freeplay song.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?
Even if he lacks the redeeming qualities the original Tom had, he's still Tom from Eddsworld, so of course he's going to be completely played for laughs, such as his sheer hatred for Christmas as well as his defeat of being hit by a post.
Verdict
Overall, I'm giving him an easy yes.
