Just when I thought I wouldn't propose any more candidates previously proposed by untrustworthy users last year, I'm doing it again this year, this time it's because TheAverageDimentio, the original proposer for Luigi and discusser for Bowser, didn't actually see some of the works the characters she proposed and removed originated from, so all of her proposals got erased since it's unknown if she had seen the other works the characters she proposed and removed originated from. What's the Work?
Luigi's Lament is a YouTube series by Mashed. It revolves Luigi who keeps getting fun of, so he wants revenge by making a deal with Bowser to prank his friends only for him to prank him instead. Luigi and his friends then get revenge by breaking out of prison and Luigi goes insane as he begins torturing Bowser. Luigi then gets bored and tries bringing Bowser back with the help of his friends.
Who are They? What Have They Done?
Luigi is the titular main protagonist of the series while Bowser is the main antagonist of the series.
After Luigi keeps getting made fun of, he put his friends in a cage and made a deal with Bowser to prank his friends, but he ended up enslaving them instead. Bowser made Yoshi run in a hamster wheel powering up a ship and if he stops the ship will fall and everyone in it will die, he made Peach serve drinks while chaining her neck and basically turning her into a sex slave, he trapped Toad in a dungeon and starved him for months and he essentially became a one-man factory producing mushrooms by making the mushrooms literally go up his ass which is stated to be extremely tired, he made Mario break bricks while Goombas always tase him after every time, and lastly, he made Luigi play songs while he's chained up to a chain chomp while also threatening to kill his entire family if he doesn't.
After a long time, Mario is then in a cell, just playing fireballs, Toad is sewing the clothes, Peach is working in the soil, and Yoshi is making omelets out of his own eggs. Luigi found mushrooms causing him to go crazy. He broke through the door killing a Koopa and then killed two more Koopas. Peach then received the signal and hit a Goomba with a turnip then picked up the shotgun. Luigi then killed more Koopas. Yoshi then killed Koopas on his own and even ate some of them alive. The group then begins breaking out while killing Koopas and others in the process. The group then encounters Bowser and Luigi made him eat Toad's nappies, and the Luigi crashes his ship to his castle killing his family. Luigi then kidnapped Bowser and tortured him by putting him in a well as well as putting fire to it to the pictures of his family reminding him that they died. Luigi had also killed several more Koopas and others seen in at some point.
After a long time again, Luigi is in his now owned ship where he's bored and misses the days when he killed Goombas and when Bowser was the boss. So, he gathered up his friends (one of them which is Mario by showing him Goomba Nazi plans causing him to want to kill them) and got Bowser out of a hole, only to see him dead as he's in the well with no food for two whole years. The group then goes to a concert with a crowd and decides to resurrect Bowser by giving him a heart of a pig, giving him mushrooms to make him big, putting fireballs behind his eyes and more. Bowser is resurrected and then he begins to kill the whole crowd.
What Makes Them Heinous?
I think both of these guys are heinous enough on their own. Luigi stands out as he killed many Koopas and others and by the way, he only killed them out of revenge not to mention he also tortured Bowser by putting him in a well and making him watch the photos of his family burn to remind him they're dead. Bowser enslaved Luigi and his friends in various ways for two whole years as Mario mentioned he and his friends had been eating eggs for two whole years and when he got resurrected, he killed a whole crowd. While Luigi definitely did not intend for Bowser to kill the whole crowd, he still stands out due to his other crimes plus when Bowser killed the whole crowd, he gained more resources as he became a giant Kaiju.
Mitigating Factors?
For Luigi, while he definitely goes insane at Luigi's Lament 2 seen with him laughing manically, he doesn't seem to show any more signs of insanity in Luigi's Lament 3.
For Bowser, while he does care about his family seen with him saddened due to being reminded of their deaths, this is pretty much lost when he gets resurrected as a Kaiju where he basically loses all characterization he had in the previous two parts and pretty mush, he's now just a Kaiju wreaking havoc.
What Makes Them Inconsistent?
For both, Luigi's Lament is pretty much a parody series where everything is subject to black comedy and these guys are no exceptions, such as when Luigi defeated Bowser by feeding him Toad's nappies as well as Luigi singing about walking to the camera when Bowser's ship is falling down to Bowser's castle.
For Luigi, he's pretty tragic as Boos would lock their doors on him whenever he appears and he keeps getting fun of by everyone including Yoshi only caring about his jump and he even steals his girlfriend. He would then be tricked by Bowser where he and his friends would get locked up by him later making him go insane. This also makes him pretty insecure as he believes his friends only cared about his jump.
Then, despite it all, he does care about his friends as he helps them get out of Bowser's ship and was pretty mad at what Bowser locking up Toad in a cage. He also feels remorse for making a deal with Bowser as it ended up with them all enslaved by him. Also, he does seem to love Daisy as he's heartbroken by the fact that she left him for Yoshi and even kept a photo of her.
Lastly, he does have standards against cannibalism as he tells Toad to maybe stop eating his friends with a shocked expression.
For Bowser, he basically becomes a Generic Doomsday Villain as when he's resurrected, he pretty much just acts like a Kaiju that just wreaks havoc, and nothing else.
Verdict?
Giving an average yes to Luigi and an easy yes to Bowser.
