Hello and welcome to my third proposal in this wiki, and today's character is one of the few that are still genuinely good to this day.
What's the Work?[]
Family Guy is a 1999 animated sitcom centered on a dysfunctional family: Peter, Lois, Meg, Chris, Stewie and Brian. All living in Quahog, navigating absurd and confusing scenarios with cutaways and dark humor. What started off good eventually just devolved into a hollow shell of itself.
Who is He? What Has He Done?[]
Cleveland Orenthal Brown Sr., more famously known as Cleveland Brown, is one of the three tritagonists of the show, serving as the protagonist in the spin-off of the same name. He is mostly known for being patient and calm, even often acting as the voice of reason in the fucking show.
In the episode "Dog Bites Bear", Peter refuses to wash his hand due to shaking the hand of Boo Beery, the hand becomes so contaminated it actually made a whole civilization in it, it gets gross to the point Cleveland texts Lois so they can all come up with something. The gang arrives at Peter's house but Cleveland is Count Chocula, obviously Peter is overjoyed to meet him before trying to shake his hand. Cleveland shakes it but he's using a glove, eventually Joe and Quagmire hold Peter back as Cleveland uses a golf ball scrubber to clean Peter's hand, Cleveland essentially kills everyone in the civilization in Peter's hand (except for a dad and son who managed to fly away).
Heinous Standard[]
Family Guy has massive high heinous standards is not even funny, with Bertram, Carter, Quagmire, Penelope and Peter himself existing: Bertram is the worst by trying to commit full on omnicide out of spite, Carter withholding the cure for cancer just to be more profitable, Quagmire being a serial offender, Penelope killing people for the fun of it and Peter doing everything he can to be awful. Despite how massive it is, I think Cleveland stands out barely enough as he's literally one of the few characters to commit genocide with little to no resources with just a golf ball scrubber, we see it happening and the dude basically killed everyone except for two people, despite Peter blatantly saying there were lives in there, Cleveland just kept going, so he already has a high kill count under his belt.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
Ultimately, this is like the only heinous thing Cleveland has done, because overall he's one of the last few characters in the show to survive the mass writing murder, as he is constantly shown to be genuinely the nicest man around, and even being the voice of reason at times. He is also very forgiving, like the moment when he stood up for Peter despite the former trying to get him fired or when he even said sorry to Loretta for not having a spine, and even his worst act was done with good intentions because Peter's hand was FILTHY. He is shown to be more of a family guy than Peter himself as he deeply cares about his family and has overall shown more good in him than flat out bad.
