Thomas "Tom" Ridgewell is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Matt) of the 2003 British web animated and webcomic series Eddsworld.
He is the best friend and housemate of Edd and Matt, and the former arch-rival turned enemy of Tord. He is an alcoholic young man with black eyes, a bad attitude, a burning hatred of Christmas and the sanest of the main characters.
Despite being a protagonist, he is an anti-heroic jerk throughout the series and even sometimes has antagonistic roles. Despite this, he cares for his friends.
He was originally voiced by Alex L'Abbe. Throughout most of classic Eddsworld and Eddsworld: Legacy (2004-2016), he was voiced by Thomas Ridgewell who also portrayed the Baby's disguised form from Baby With A Gun 2, Grey Bow from The Presentation Game 2. and his versions from Rejects and The Confession 3 before his final departure from the show and is currently voiced by Ed Templer.

What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- Has a burning rivalry with Tord and always fights with him, even calling him a commie, thus making Tom xenophobic.
- In Zanta Claw and Zanta Claws 3, he is seen holding a bazooka and a sniper rifle and willing to shoot anyone who looks like Santa Claus.
- In the end of the episode Zanta Claws, Santa gives him a bottle of Smirnoff. He’s happy until he learns it was diet Smirnoff which leads him taking the bazooka and shoot.
- In Zanta Claws 3, he hijacked Zanta Claws' sledge and use it to destroy things related to Christmas in his city.
- In Tom's Tales of Crazy, he swings his bat at a baseball and kills it by an accident. A random man sees it all and tells Tom that he's going to jail, forcing him to kill the man. He then tries to escape, but fails.
- In Spares, he killed numerous clones of him with his friends. In a short time, he and his friends kill nearly all the clones.
- He doesn’t feel sad when Tord’s leaving and even said “Good riddance!” before Tord backs up his car and hits him.
- He made a device that killed Edd when trying to kill Vampire Matt. However, this was completely unintentional on Tom's part.
- In Hammer & Fail: Part 2, he let a ghost attack Eduardo and destroy his house.
- In Space Face: Part I, he uses a laser gun to immobilize Matt when he is screaming in panic.
- He kidnaps a person alongside Matt and Edd while driving in the alien spaceship in Space Face, and place him in a diamond planet while writing a word "Butt" in it.
- In the same episode, he shows his most desire is destroying Christmas when he burns the tree and present in Edd’s disappointment.
- In Fun Dead, he kills 9 zombies in brutal ways (although it was arguably in self-defence as they were after him, Edd and Matt) and feeds 4 complainers to a group of zombies when he, Edd and Matt convert asdfLand into Fun Dead.
- Despite the series high standard's, he manages to stand out with his little to no resources and high kill counts.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He's too comedic for NPE or PE, as his defeats are often played for laughs and he has multiple comedic moments throughout the series such as his holy lines and how his parents were a pineapple and bowling ball.
- Despite their occasional conflicts and indifferences, Tom has shown to actually care about his friends, often hanging out with them for adventures and save them from multiple threats.
- He's on & off, as aside from his villainy he has done multiple heroic deeds, like saving his friends and his hometown many times and even the world from Tord and Zombeh Matt.
- He seems to be tragic, as his mother was a pineapple and was shot by a bear because Matt gave it a gun as shown in "Fun Dead".
