The Transmission is the overarching antagonist of the 2021 puzzle-platform horror adventure videogame Little Nightmares II.

Taking the physical form of a signal-emitting tower, the Transmission is responsible for the warped and dilapidated state of the Pale City. It is unknown how far the reality-warping signal reaches, but many of the world's Residents have fallen victim of the signal.

Mono feels mysteriously drawn to the tower throughout the game, bringing Six with him until her inevitable betrayal, where he is left in the depths of the tower to become the new Thin Man.

Its Evil Ranking[]

What Makes It Heinous?[]

  • It brainwashed the citizens of the Pale City through television screens and turned them into mindless creatures. This wasn't fridge horror as they ware disfigured and lobotomized.
  • It was indirectly responsible of a lot of citizens killing themselves by throwing themselves off the roof as they tried to reach the nearest signal.
  • It influenced most of the villains of the series' villains like the Lady into becoming the murderous monsters they were.
  • It made the Thin Man capture the Blind Boy in the second comic issue.
  • It doomed the Thin Man for eternity according to the following theories:
    • Following the theory that he and Mono were the same person, he was trapped into a time loop, doomed to capture children, get killed by himself, and betrayed by Six.
    • Following the theory that the Thin Man was a vessel of the tower, and his killer replaced him, this meant many children like Mono became him and were forced to act against their will.
  • It sent the Thin Man capturing Mono and Six.
  • After the Thin Man successfully captured Six and was busy chasing Mono, the Transmission gave Six a giant music box turning her into a giant disfigured monster.
  • After Six went back to normal, the Transmission manifested itself as the Flesh Walls and started chasing her and Mono.

What Makes It Inconsistent?[]

  • It completely lacked characterization and personality, making it a Generic Doomsday Villain.
