The Preeminent is a major antagonist in the Ninjago series, serving as the overarching antagonist of Season 5, the posthumous overarching antagonist of Season 6, and a minor antagonist in Season 11.
She is an eldritch entity and the physical embodiment of the entire Cursed Realm, having devoured countless souls banished into her and recruited a ghost army led by the fallen ninja Morro to serve her and find the Realm Crystal to release her so she can destroy life in all the realms and rule over it as a cursed wasteland.

- She does drag Morro to die with her when she was drowning but due to the fact that she lacks characterization or lines, it is unclear if she intentionally did this or she was just disoriented and flailing her arms around to try and grab onto something. There is also the fact that P.I.X.A.L tries to reason with her and asks if the Preeminent understands her but the Preeminent just picks herself up and attacks P.I.X.A.L without responding, making her intent in these situations unclear.
What Makes Her Heinous[]
- She willingly took the souls of thousands of people who were cursed into her, but freed those willingly to serve her.
- She amassed a ghost army under the command of Morro to help her in her plan to curse the 16 realms and rule over them as a wasteland, choosing Morro to take advantage of Garmadon opening a portal to the realm to defeat Chen and his army so Morro could escape and begin his plan to release her.
- She had Garmadon imprisoned within her.
- She banished Lloyd into her, dragging him in to prevent him from destroying the Realm Crystal to defeat her and Morro and proceeding to free herself from the dimensional barrier and cross over into Ninjago.
- She conquered the village Stiix and attempted to devour countless souls to grow in power, eventually destroying the village and turning the city into walking support with the help of her ghosts to chase down the fleeing heroes and people of Stiix and proceed to the mainland.
- She destroyed the rudder of the ship to strand the heroes and people and was about to kill the heroes and people before Nya unlocked her true potential to create a massive tidal wave to kill her and all the ghosts.
- Not only did her threat force Nya to kill her and all the inhabitants within her (including the innocent Garmadon and Anacondrai generals) but it also caused the destruction of the realm of Djinjago and the death of all its inhabitants due to the disruption of the balance between realities and motivating the only remaining djinn Nadakhan to seek revenge against the ninja, making the Preeminent indirectly responsible for the events of Season 6.
- She took advantage of Wu accidentally opening a portal to the Departed realm to break through and continue her rampage by devastating Ninjago City, forcing P.I.X.A.L to risk her life to defeat her and send her back to the Departed Realm.
- She has no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
What Makes Her Inconsistent[]
- She has zero lines and basically lacks any personality or characterization, simply acting as a rampaging destructive force of nature which in addition to being the embodiment of the Cursed Realm, also means she may have moral agency issues. The only thing known about her is vague references by Fenwick that she is very evil and she apparently likes patience according to Morro but she is really just defined by the threat she poses in trying to devour the souls of everyone in all the realms and turn it into a cursed wasteland.
