The Car is the titular main antagonist of the 1977 horror film of the same name.
The Car, is a demonic black 1971 Lincoln Continental Mark III modified by the late George Barris, known for modifying custom cars for film and television, such as the Batmobile. It has no visible driver, which strongly suggests that the Car is animate, possibly an incarnation of either the Devil or some other demon, or that such an entity was the driver of the Car. The Car existed to destroy and like many horror antagonists was almost completely unstoppable, despite the heroes' best efforts to defeat it.
The sound effects for it are provided by Dennis C. Salcedo.
