The Big Brain is the overarching antagonist of the sci-fi animated comedy TV series Futurama.
He is, as his "name" implies, a massive brain who is the leader of the Brainspawn, an alien race of brains whose natural and inherent goal is to collect all the information in the universe. However, since new things are constantly happening throughout the universe and therefore creating new information, the brains want to destroy the universe so that their goal will be permanently complete.
He is voiced by Maurice LaMarche.

What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- He is the reason the war with the Nibblonians started.
- He personaly killed all the dinosaurs.
- He destroyed Space Rome, Don Martin 3 and Tweenis 12.
- He launched an invasion of Earth making all its inhabitants dumber.
- He went to the library to get all the knowledge to be ready to destroy the planet.
- He drags Fry and Leela into the books to trap them there.
- Although he sent Fry back in time to December 31, 1999, as requested, he did so for a pragmatic reason, as this way he could remain in the past, which would help his plans.
- His ultimate plan is to destroy the universe in order to collect every piece of information.
- He easily passes the series' Heinous standards with an attempt at universal extermination that no villain in the series has attempted.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He had too many comedic moments to be taken seriously enough to be NPE, with even his plan to destroy the universe simply so no new knowledge would be possible being pretty absurd to be taken seriously in the slightest.
