~ Stolas' perverted rant towards Blitzo. |
Prince Stolas of the Ars Goetia is the overarching protagonist of the non-canon pilot episode for the black comedy web series Helluva Boss.
He is an extremely powerful demon prince who belongs to the Ars Goetia royalty. One night, he slept with an assassin imp named Blitzo, whom the latter had sex with in order to steal the former's arcane book, the Grimoire, which allows Blitzo and his assassination business the Immediate Murder Professionals (I.M.P) access to the mortal realm to do their job. Stolas allows I.M.P to keep the book on the condition that Blitzo continues to sleep with him.
He was voiced by Brock Baker in English (who also voiced Goofy in Goofy Wants His Money) and Joris Georges in French.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- He extorts Blitzo and by extension I.M.P as a whole by forcing the former to regularly sleep with him in order for I.M.P to keep the Grimoire.
- He actively wants I.M.P to succeed in their assassination job and will call on them regularly to request for hits on certain people. As I.M.P's murders are shown on-screen and Stolas is directly responsible for them, he's just as heinous as Blitzo.
- One of his requested hits to I.M.P is to take out a man who had an abundance of information on global warming. If I.M.P went through with this hit, Stolas would have been directly responsible for the deaths and suffering of countless living beings.
- During a phone call with Blitzo, he goes on a disgusting, perverted, and very graphic rant describing how he personally wants to have rough sex with Blitzo and makes the latter extremely uncomfortable to the point that Blitzo ends the call and destroys his phone.
- Unlike in the show proper, this Stolas lacks any sympathetic qualities whatsoever and is implied to have cheated on Stella out of pure perverse lust, with no hints that he's a victim of her abuse or if she's even abusive at all, and even if she was abusive, unlike in canon, it doesn't excuse him cheating on her.
- This version of Stolas doesn't even show a hint of love towards Blitzo unlike in the show where, for all his toxic behavior, he genuinely does. His lustful obsession with the imp assassin is portrayed as nothing more than that; a sick, perverted, and exploitative obsession towards someone he treats with nothing but fetishization and constant belittlement.
- While his daughter Octavia is confirmed to exist in the pilot, as shown from a painting in the background, there's no evidence to suggest that he cares for her unlike in the show proper.
- Since the pilot episode is non-canon to the wider Hellaverse (Crimson, Striker, Rolando, ect.), he has very little competition besides Alastor from the Hazbin Hotel pilot, whose acts are mostly off-screen and ambiguous. Similarly, since this Stolas is far more actively villainous than the canon one, who's mostly just apathetic to I.M.P's actions, this makes him especially heinous.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is played entirely for laughs and isn't once taken seriously, unlike in the show proper. This is showcased in his over-the-top, outrageously perverted, and censored rant to Blitzo where he describes how he'd want to have a sex with him. Blitzo's reaction to the phone call, while clearly meant to show him as uncomfortable, is also played for laughs as he goes through an extremely over-the-top process to destroy the phone such as crushing it, then blending it, then having Loona drink it and then excrete off a bridge. This is only exacerbated when the behind the scenes video released for the fifth anniversary of the pilot shows his rant uncensored, revealing it to make almost zero sense and be needlessly explicit.
Trivia[]
- He is one of the two Hellaverse characters to be Inconsistently Heinous, alongside Millie (Hellaverse).
- His official show counterpart can't qualify for Inconsistently Heinous due to his villainy being far too standard.
