NOTE: This page is only for Steelbeak's characterization in the 2017 DuckTales reboot series, considering the original Darkwing Duck counterpart was not voted Inconsistently Heinous. Therefore, only the 2017 version's info and crimes should be listed here.

Steelbeak is a supporting antagonist in the 2017 DuckTales reboot series.

He is a high-ranking agent of F.O.W.L. This version is depicted as arrogant and less intelligent than his original version for most of the series. In the finale, he used the Intelli-Ray on himself to increase his intellect and become a more skilled fighter.

He was voiced by Jason Mantzoukas.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Heinous?[]

  • At some point before the events of the series took place, he committed crimes in St. Canard that led to him getting arrested.
  • Under the orders of Bradford Buzzard and Black Heron, he attacked Launchpad and Dewey when they entered Funso's Fun Zone. Upon defeating them, he imprisoned them in F.O.W.L.'s secret lair.
  • After growing tired of Heron constantly belittling and mistreating him, he used her own intelligence ray against her to drain her intellect before taking over the operation.
  • After Dewey and Launchpad escaped, he attacked them with the Intelli-Ray, which briefly rendered the latter unconscious. He then kidnapped and tied up Dewey before taking him to F.O.W.L.'s old lair, the Sate-lighthouse, .
  • He intended to integrate the ray into the lighthouse's beacon and use it on the entire city of Duckburg in order to drain their intelligence. He also expressed his desire to later do the same to the entire world. He then tied Dewey to the top of the beacon as he prepared to activate it.
  • Even after Launchpad warned him that using the ray on the city would kill all of its inhabitants by causing them to forget how to breathe, he still attempted to do it, claiming that it was his plan the whole time.
  • Ultimately, his actions led to Launchpad having his enhanced intelligence drained, causing him to forget that Steelbeak was an actual threat. This prevented him from warning the other protagonists about F.O.W.L.'s return.
  • He attacked and seriously injured Darkwing Duck before stealing the Solego Circuit plans from him. This was the very thing Bradford needed in order to destroy hundreds of people, and Steelbeak knowingly fetched it so he could commit his attempted genocide.
  • He confronted and attacked Launchpad, Darkwing, and Gizmoduck. He also informed Don Karnage where many of the kids were after overhearing the heroes discuss it.
  • After using the ray on himself to enhance his intelligence, he subdued Darkwing and Gizmoduck and imprisoned them in one of the many cells in the Library of Alexandria.
  • After modifying the Intelli-Ray so that it could brainwash people, he used it on Flintheart Glomgold, Ma Beagle, the Beagle Boys and Magica De Spell. After turning them into his servants, he had them attack the heroes.
  • While Bradford Buzzard, General Lunaris and Taurus Bulba did worse, he still stands out due to his lower resources of being a high ranking enforcer with one piece of tech while Lunaris is a General of an entire army and Taurus Bulba is a scientist with advanced technology.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • Although his attempt to kill Duckburg's population was treated seriously, Steelbeak himself is too comedic to count as Pure Evil or even Near Pure Evil, with the narrative treating him as a joke many times during the series and his lack of intelligence being played for laughs, like when he believes Scrooge could be so dumb, the billionaire would eat the world’s toys.
  • He has some insecurities about being viewed as "dumb" due to his intelligence, such as when Black Heron keeps on insulting his lack of intelligence, he had enough and used the ray on her to make her stupid.
