Thaal Sinestro, simply known as Sinestro, is a major antagonist of the Injustice series. He is a supporting antagonist of the Injustice: Gods Among Us video game and comic series, a minor character in the Injustice 2 comic series and a posthumous antagonist of Injustice 2.
He is the leader of the Sinestro Corps, who joined Superman's One-Earth Government regime and assist Superman in many of his plans, including fending off the Green Lantern's invasion and killing most of them. He is also the one responsible for the resignation of Hal Jordan towards the power of the Green Lantern so that he accepts the ring of fear and becomes in Yellow Lantern.
He was voiced by Troy Baker, who also voiced Joel Miller in The Last of Us, and Two-Face and the Arkham Knight in the Batman: Arkham series.

What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- In the past, he abused his Green Lantern powers to overthrow Kortaguar's government and become the dictator of his home planet.
- His brutality and ruthlessness drove his wife to suicide.
- Following his wife's death, Sinestro murdered dozens of the exiled government officials in retribution, even though they weren't involved in Arin's death.
- He attacked the Green Lanterns when they came to stop his tyranny and bit Kilowog.
- During Superman’s rise to power, Sinestro sensed his opportunity as he saw how Superman’s new tyrannical attitude was much like his own.
- He brutally kills Kyle Rayner, tearing him apart and leaving him to suffocate in space.
- He pretends to be a hero by killing Despero.
- Continues to assist Superman anyway and when the Green Lantern corps come to take Superman away, Sinestro’s own corps start fighting against them killing many Green Lanterns in the process.
- When Superman reluctantly allies with Sinestro, he starts slowly driving Superman fully into extremism.
- Pushes Hal Jordan into villainy.
- Murders John Stewart when his loyalty was conflicted, then frames Guy Gardener for the murder and has Hal Jordan murder Guy just to get rid of another obstacle.
- When Superman is losing to Black Canary, Sinestro gives Superman a yellow lantern ring and with the fear of an entire planet, Superman easily dispatches Black Canary and murders Mogo and a Guardian.
- Tortures Officer Sprague and clearly enjoying it.
- He persuaded Superman not to kill Konstantin, just because they needed Konstantin.
- Killed Klarion by attacking him in the back.
- When Plastic Man stages a jail-break for the Green Lantern Corps, Sinestro kills Kilowog and damages the prison's foundation.
- After Superman murders Lex Luthor and decides to destroy Metropolis and Gotham to set an example, Sinestro happily assists him in the massacre.
- Is the one who personally leads the army on Gotham massacring Civilians. He orders any soldier who dares defies Superman’s commands to be executed on the spot.
- While the Injustice franchise has a high heinous standard Sinestro stands out with his numerous kills and playing a partial role in pushing Superman further into villainy.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- Even before his sacrifice, he admits he never stopped loving his daughter and would "tear this universe apart to keep [her] safe".
- He redeems himself during the battle with Starro. When The Red Lanterns attack Oa, Sinestro offers to assist in fighting them off and gets back his Green Lantern ring. During the battle, Sinestro frees several mind-controlled green lanterns and even sacrifices himself to free his daughter.
- His death is played for sympathy. As he dies, he finally tells Soranik the truth of what happened to her mother and apologizes for not being a better man. His ring then chooses Soranik as his replacement and the entire Green Lantern corps mourns his death.
