His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- He orders a bombing to kill Zero, showing little concern that Suzaku would die in the process.
- While outwardly loyal to his father, it's indicated that he was planning to usurp him all along.
- He supports Euphemia's plan to give the Japanese equal rights only out of pragmatism, as he knows it will cripple support for Zero's cause.
- He has General Bartley perform unethical experiments on Jeremiah and turn him into a cyborg.
- He leads his forces in subjugating other countries on behalf of Britannia.
- He manipulates Nina into building the FLEIJA bomb by making her think Euphemia would have wanted it.
- He arranges a royal marriage between Prince Odysseus and the Chinese Empress in order to get Zero handed over to him, aware that the deal would sell out the Chinese people who would have their land turned over to Britannia.
- He leads an attack in the Chinese Federation to kill the Black Knights and assists the Eunuchs in trying to assassinate their Empress.
- He sends his troops to capture Lelouch just when he's about to reconcile with Suzaku, and frames Suzaku by making Lelouch think he set him up.
- He manipulates Suzaku into going into battle with the FLEIJA by making him think the continued conflict is his fault.
- He doesn't care when the FLEIJA destroys Tokyo and kills millions of people, and even smiles sadistically when this happens.
- He manipulates the Black Knights into betraying Lelouch, and despite claiming he wants Lelouch turned over to him for "justice" he makes no attempt to stop the Black Knights from executing him on the spot.
- He allows a seemingly despotic Lelouch to rule unopposed, hoping that this will turn the public against him.
- He manipulates Nunnally into turning against Lelouch and aiding his plans.
- He uses the FLEIJA to destroy Pendragon City, killing millions including his own siblings.
- He intends to use the FLEIJA system to force the world to submit to him, and will deploy it against any country that resists.
- He has his own sister Cornelia gunned down when she opposes his plan, mockingly stating, "This is so sad," while clearly showing no emotion.
- He leads the UFN in an attack on Lelouch's forces, treating the Black Knights as expendable and planning to dispose of them after the battle, while he also intends to use Nunnally as bait for Lelouch and leave her to die.
- While Code Geass has a high heinous standard, Schneizel easily stands out by having the highest kill count of any villain through the murder of millions at Tokyo and Pentagon City respectively.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is too much of an extremist to be NPE as has genuine good intentions in wanting to bring peace to the world, and isn't motivated by personal ambition, as he's even willing to sacrifice his life in order to do this. He also shows little personal malice toward anyone.
- He shows care for some members of his family:
- He loves his sister Euphemia and is horrified by the Special Zone massacre.
- Like his other siblings, he had some affection for Lelouch and Nunnally, as he was angry at Japan for their supposed deaths in the war. Even after learning Lelouch's identity, he claims he still sees Lelouch as his brother and offers to spare his life, though Lelouch rejects this.
- He's disgusted when the High Eunuchs dismiss their people as "dirt" and withdraws his support for them, stating that nations are people and if the Eunuchs have lost the support of their people, they're not worthy to join Britannia.
- When Charles pretends to have vanished, causing political turmoil, and then dramatically reappears, Schneizel is appalled by the stunt, and when he learns that Charles dismissed the war as a "mundane matter" despite the massive casualties it's caused, he loses all respect for him and orders his assassination on the grounds that this makes him unfit to rule.
