Sasori is a supporting antagonist of the manga and anime series Naruto. He serves as the main antagonist of the Kazekage Rescue Mission arc. His parents were murdered by Sakumo Hatake in the Second Great Ninja War, leaving him in the care of his grandmother, Chiyo. He became fascinated with creating dolls and attempted to make dolls of his parents to fill the void of their deaths but was disappointed when they did not give him the comfort he desired. Eventually, he became a rogue ninja, joining the Akatsuki and kidnapping the Third Kazekage before killing him and turning him into a puppet. He was eventually killed by Sakura and Chiyo.
He was voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, who also voices Tohru Adachi from Persona.

What makes him heinous?[]
- He began turning the corpses of people into puppets in order to make them last forever. One of his famous collections is a group of 100 fallen shinobi.
- In the anime, we discovered that he indirectly killed his friend by giving him his poisoned puppet and turned him into a puppet.
- When he left his village and turned himself into a puppet and he assassinated the Third Kazekage and made him a puppet for his collection and took the whole village to him. This event will weaken the Sand Village's security by making everyone search for the missing Kazekage, leading to border invasions leading to major damages to Hidden Sand.
- He used hypnosis jutsu on Kabuto Yakushi so that he could spy on Orochimaru, although it gets foiled as Orochimaru undoes the jutsu on Kabuto, he did this as a form of revenge for Orochimaru’s treachery.
- He, along with Deidara, destroyed the Land of This and killed the daimyo and a lot of shinobi, just to spread the reputation of the Akatsuki.
- He aided Deidara in the invasion of the Sand Village by using hypnosis jutsu on Yura and made him unwittingly betray his village.
- He poisoned Kankuro and nearly killed him and destroyed his puppets.
- Sealed away Gaara’s tailed beast into the demonic statue, temporarily killing him.
- He tried to kill his grandmother, Chiyo, and Sakura, a teenage girl.
What makes him inconsistent?[]
- While not excusing his actions, he has a genuine tragic backstory of being a once-happy child who ended up having his parents killed during the war, where he grew up isolated and would create puppets of his parents to hug him and love him to have the feeling once more.
- He intentionally let himself die against his grandmother Chiyo and told her classified info about his spy.
- After being revived by Kabuto, he has an emotional moment where abandoned his ambitions after Kankurō told him that it was his creations that he put his heart and soul into that would last forever. After accepting Kankurō's view on eternal art, he entrusted his Mother and Father puppets to Kankurō and told him to pass them on to the next generation after he dies. In this moment, Sasori is shown to have an emotional side as well and breaks free of Kabuto's curse.
- He was willing to accept the views of others on certain topics in contrast to Deidara, who stubbornly stood by his beliefs until the end.
- He was genuinely loyal to the Akatsuki, unlike other Akatsuki members who were only loyal due to a pragmatic or selfish reason, this isn’t really the case for Sasori, although he gets annoyed with some of the members, he never disrespected the organizations motives or ideals and seems to adhere to them. He also got enraged when Orochimaru betrayed the Akatsuki vowing to kill him for his treachery.
