SuperMemeGuardian4, formerly known as SuperMarioGlitchy4 and better known as SMG4, is the titular character and one of the two main protagonists (alongside Mario) of Glitch Productions' franchise of the same name.
He is a partly amnesiac meme guardian (more predominantly a Super Mario 64 Machinamist), as well as Mario's closest ally and handler (also his main on-and-off rival in the War of the Fat Italians series), the de facto leader of his gang, and the former archenemy-turned-frenemy of SMG3.
He also uses material from Minecraft, Garry's Mod, and other viral media. SMG4 devotes a lot of his time to making these videos, usually uploading a new video every weekend, and sometimes accepts works such as fanart from his channel's viewers and subscribers. In his videos, he often uses quotes, music, and stuff from other famous YouTubers like PewDiePie and Smosh as well as from movies, video games, memes, or TV shows. He is the oldest original character in the series.
While he may be a heroic person most of the time, he has occasionally committed crimes and played antagonistic roles, mainly whenever he puts Mario in dangerous situations for content or when he sides with enemy groups such as being a member of A.S.S. and causing the destruction of Peach's Castle.
He is voiced by the show’s creator Luke Lerdwichagul who also voiced his counterpart from SMG4 SHORTS ARE MOVİNG!.

- While the heinous standards are very high, with mass murder being common in the series, he stands out due to his various crimes such as putting his friends in danger and enslaving the Leggies.

- Having Mario eat tide pods, quickly poisoning him.
- Burying Mario alive for forty-eight hours, and after oversleeping past the mark, he fled to Mexico.
- Forcing Mario to eat food slowly while having him wear a shock collar, shocking him.
- Having Mario steal school property, causing him to be on a wheelchair.

- In SMG4 Movie: REVELATIONS, he, alongside SMG3, used the corrupted memes to harness the powers of the God Box, then using them to destroy an innocent lobster family.

- When nothing particularly bad happened, he summoned the Kraken, the Loch Ness Monster and Godzilla for him to survive, only for them to not do anything to him.
- Having Baby Mario, the main Mario, and the old version of Mario fight to the death to see who's the mightiest, causing the main Mario to be crushed by Old Mario and decapitated by Baby Mario.
- Having his friends face their fears for a Big Mac coupon, such as:
- Mario going to the gym, losing instantly.
- Bob donating to charity, causing him to accidentally shock himself.
- SMG3 having to witness fanart of him, causing him to freak out and later faint.
- Having Meggy be hunted down by one million Goombas for 24 hours, only for Meggy to disguise as a Goomba to survive but then be stomped on by Mario.
- Having his friends including himself stay at a burning house with the last one leaving to have his autograph, only for all of them to leave.
- Having Boopkins and Melony have a standoff with the former wielding a one-dollar gun and the latter wielding a one-million dollar one, causing the death of the latter.
- Having his friends including himself be buried alive, with the buriers Beeg SMG4 and Eggdog leaving possibly causing all of them to be buried forever.
- Having his friends rob the federal bank of America, causing all of them including himself to be sent to the electric chair. While he wasn't the one who came up with it, he initially thought he did and played along.

- Prior to "SMG4 and the Meme Factory", he enslaved Leggies for them to work for his meme factory and would have them punished if they don't work good seen where one Leggy and her meme was subjected to beheading, and he set up a security system to his factory where people would be burned to ashes as shown with Mario.
- In "SMG4 and the Meme Factory", he had the Leggies blow up the Mountain Dew River Bob was stuck on, later turning him into a monster.
- In the same episode, he tried to have Mario work for him 24/7 365 days a year and said he had no choice, later causing Mario to sacrifice Grandpa Joe to the Leggies.
- In "IT'S A ME...", he and SMG3 scared Mario just for fun but this caused Mario to almost destroy and corrupt the Showgrounds just to prank SMG4 and SMG3. While Mario took it way too far, SMG4 and SMG3 are nonetheless still indirectly responsible for The Showgrounds and everything in it nearly being destroyed.
- In "SMG4: The Internet Is Dead", he, alongside, Meggy, SMG3, Bob and Mario tried to have Boopkins sacrificed due to him being the only one to have access to the internet when it's mostly down.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- Due to the nature of the web series of the same name that he hails from, he's too comedic to be NPE or PE by default while having many comedic moments on his own. He also can't be Silly PE or Silly NPE due to the work also relying on sociopathic humor.
- He cares about his friends as he protected them from many amounts of danger.
- He a tragic character; because the all terrible actions caused like build a demonic keyboard has just to become famous and make everyone happy.
- He's sometimes a scapegoat and played for sympathy. An example is when he ended up under the Eldritch Goop’s control due to his obsession to make a perfect video. His desperation to make a perfect video that people will like and his insecurities are sympathized even by the characters in-universe.
- He has many moments where he feels remorse for his actions.
- Has standard genuinely because has disgusted by many villains actions; like Francis kill desti, SMG3 take over SMG4 channel and Niles has tried to destroy SMG4 universe just to create a new one.
- He started off as On & Off for the majority of the series before redeeming himself at the very end.
