SCP-096, also known as The Shy Guy, is a major antagonist in the SCP Mythos and the main antagonist of its tale The Sun In My Disgrace.

It is an Euclid-class object and a skinny, pale humanoid monster that only attacks when looked at. It has a large jaw and elongated arms, which he uses to violently rip off the poor victim's body. After he is done finishing the poor victim off, he will return to his docile state and begin to weep in his containment chamber.

What Makes Him Heinous?

• During its containment, it prepares to kill anyone who has seen its face.
• Its original article and his incidents are canon to the story because it name drops people like Dr. Oleksi and serves as a explanation for SCP-096's termination, meaning he committed the same heinous actions that canon SCP-096 did.
  • It took down a plane with 20 men inside of it.
  • It killed a hiker who unknowingly took a photo of his face while in a hiking trip.
  • It killed several travelers in the desert.
  • It massacred a family who were inside of a minivan, including killing the infant.
  • After Chief Master Sergeant ████ saw the aftermath of SCP-096 massacring a family who seen SCP-096 face, this caused him to commit suicide.

• It has no personality and is a mindless monster, meaning he has no moral agency or sapience.
• It is insecure since he wants to be alone, and he is very self-conscious about his appearance, which is why he kills anything that looks at him.
• It is on & off since he doesn’t always commit evil acts since he mostly attacks when aggravated.
• It is in the grey zone due to having no moral agency and his origins being too enigmatic to prove if he is evil by nature or evil by his own choice.
• He is also has a tragic backstory which is the reason why he is evil which doesn't make him PE or even NPE.
