Rudra Nam Ul Nasca is one of the overreaching antagonists of the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime series.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
In General[]
- While he did have heroic past he looses this quality after his sister's Luica's death and became an full on tyrant.
- While it was later revealed he was brainwashed by Michael this don't make him fail the heinous standard to him since they share the same body and still possessed enough free will of his actions until his body was fully controlled by him at the end of events of Abyss Unleashed.
- Despite his very high resources of being Emperor of the Eastern Empire and high heinous standard of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime where genocide is common, Rudra stands out for being responsible for the Great Temma War every 300 years giving him the highest (or one of the highest currently) kill counts in the series.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime[]
- He triggers the Great Temma War every 300 years where he used his Michael Ultimate Skill to summon in millions of Angels to ravage the Central World's nations specifically the most developed ones to cull humanity and prevent them from being too developed which ends up in high amount of deaths.
- While this is offscreen, some of the past ones were shown in flashbacks and it has too much of an impact on the entire series to be brushed off as suffering from fridge-horror anyways since multiple nations are effected by it's events with multiple characters of series also effected and the event was treated as extremely seriously in-universe by the characters.
- He reincarnates in his own offspring to continue his "game" with Guy Crimson for control over the Central World which ended up effecting many lives with many killed during it.
- He took no effort in raising or caring for his niece Milim Nava when his sister and Veldanava died, making him indirectly responsible for her rampage.
- He attempted to take over the world and Western Nations numerous times before with Veldora being his only roadblock due to wiping out his invasion prior to the start of the series.
- He shows no care in his subordinates as he will only on the ones he will find useful as he only saw his men being wiped out by the Jura-Tempest Federation in their invasion as disposal.
- He also has Otherworlders Summoned and has some fight to death to see who is more useful for him.
- He used his skill to brainwash Veldora Tempest and forced him to cut his link to Rimuru to prevent Rudra from effecting him too. This forced Rimuru Tempest to fight Veldora and Velgrynd when Rudra sent both to eliminate them.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- To say he like many other of the villains of the series got too many preventions to be NPE is pretty much an massive understatement here, he has multiple severe preventions as is far too tragic & sympathetic, is an well intended of an extremist and has moral agency issues & is an Villain by Proxy was due to him being influenced:
- He's FAR too tragic to be NPE as Rudra lost his sister Lucia and mentor/brother in-law Veldanava to an terrorist attack of an nation in their attempt to gain control of his niece Milim Nava's power which made him have a massive breakdown and sank into a massive depression of despair.
- He is an well intended extremist as he only caused the Great Temma War to prevent humanity from getting too advanced and destroy each other through war and wish to only unite them in a world without war and with proper justice here.
- Most of his actions were due to Michael's brainwashing and influence making him an Villain by Proxy and giving him moral agency issues and eventually had his soul shattered into pieces across multiple universes that allowed his Manas to fully take control of his body.
- He cares for his wife Velgrynd who he truly loved, his sister Lusca Nasa, his mentor Veldnava, genuinely see Guy Crimson as an friend/friendly rival.
- He is honorable even as an Villain as he will give an opponent country an chance to surrender as he offered Rimuru Tempest to surrender and offered him an position of high power if he surrender, which Rimuru did rejected here.
- He redeems himself in his reincarnation after Velgrynd (after when she was freed from Michael's control by Rimuru Tempest) managed to collect his soul fragments shattered across the Mutliverse where he would have his state of mind and self was restored by hero where he fully atones and make up for his actions against Feldway and Michael's schemes in attempting in destroying the world to revive Veldanava.
Trivia[]
- He and Michael are the only That Time I Reincarnated as a Slime Inconsistently Heinous to only appear in the Light Novel so far as they have yet to appear in the Anime nor Manga yet. He is also the only one to not be an human abet an High Human that is.
- Although his reincarnation did appear in Anime and Manga their connection has not yet been revealed.
- He, his niece Milim Nava and brother in-law Veldora Tempest are only ones in the series to be related.
