Inconsistently Heinous Wiki

Purple is one of the two tritagonists (alongside The Chosen One) of the Animator vs. Animation franchise.

The child of two stick figures, Purple was raised by an abusive father who wanted him to grow up into a fighter, only to abandon him once he didn't meet his expectations. Following his mother's death, Purple made it his life mission to find his father and impress him by proving himself to be tough and powerful, no matter who he has to backstab for this to happen. He is the former archenemy of Green and right-hand man-turned-surrogate son of King Orange.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Heinous?[]

  • When Green and Blue started handling with his Villagers, Purple had them imprisoned out of fear that they will take his subjects away from him.
  • He was prepared to fight Blue and Green (presumably to the death given how he pulled out a sword) for control over his Villagers.
  • After redeeming himself and joining Blue and Green, he took them to kill the Ender Dragon for no reason.
  • When put between letting Blue and Green live and letting them die to get the Dragon Egg, he chose the latter due to believing it will make his father proud, with the two stick figures almost dying if not for their friends saving them at the last second.
  • Even when saving his villagers from the Ender Dragon, he did it very reluctantly.
  • He followed the Stick Gang into the world of League of Legends to beat and presumably kill them in a match by the game to make unbeatable clones of himself before absorbing all of the game's data and brutally beating them up.
    • Even if he did not plan for them to die, he was still fully willing to do so.
  • He made his return known to the Stick Gang by killing an Infernal Drake.
  • In his most heinous act yet, he betrayed the Stick Gang after befriending them in favor of teaming up with King Orange to destroy all of Minecraft with the power of the Minecraft Game Icon, for no known motive other than making his father proud by proving himself to be powerful. It's also known he took delight in it, as shown when he started clapping when King Orange showed him his intentions.
    • While it's ultimately just supporting someone else, Purple still manages to stand out as he practically carried the entire operation for the king, as he actually went to get the Game Icon while King Orange waited in his castle, meaning King Orange wouldn't be able to commit omnicide without him.
  • He imprisoned the Stick Gang inside an endless parkour simulation and handed over their pet pig to his Piglin Brute army, indirectly manipulating and guilt-tripping them into following him into the simulation by appearing sad when they refused to do so.
  • He fought the Second Coming and Red for the Game Icon when they tried to stop him.
  • When he got his hands on the Game Icon, he indirectly killed the Stick Gang's pig by having it absorbed into the icon.
  • He was directly responsible for the creation of the first black hole due to giving it to King Orange, which claimed the lives of several Piglin Brutes.
  • He tried to use the Game Icon-powered sceptre's power for himself before being stopped by King Orange.
  • Even after being betrayed by King Orange, he remained loyal and sent out the remains of his Piglin Brute army to kill the Fighting Stick Figures, cheering for them while doing so.
  • He stands out due to being less powerful than other villains such as the Dark Lord and King Orange himself.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He has a genuinely tragic background. He was raised by an abusive father, Dark Blue, who beat him up in unfair fights in a delusional attempt to make him into a fighter and didn't allow his mother, Pink, to comfort him once he couldn't get up. One day, Dark Blue decided to leave his family behind, leaving Purple - who was heavily implied to have been, and still be, a teenager - to take care of Pink until she died of unknown causes. What's worse is that he didn't realize how horribly Dark Blue treated him and still tried to reunite with him and make him proud. It's also additionally revealed in Animator vs. Animation 11 that he nearly died during the Chosen One and Dark Lord's destruction of Newgrounds.
    • This includes heavy insecurities, as his entire motivation is based around proving his worth to Dark Blue as a tough and powerful fighter, something his father didn't view him as when they were still together. All his actions, up to and including helping King Orange destroy Minecraft, were out of this twisted desire.
  • He's heavily On & Off at first, as he switched sides five times during the events of the series until he felt deeply remorseful about his crimes, outright breaking down in tears after telling his life story to Green and calling himself a monster. This ultimately ends in his final redemption when he decides to stop King Orange from destroying Minecraft after Green assured him that, despite it all, he's still willing to give him another chance.
  • He cares deeply about both his mother and King Orange.
    • Once Dark Blue left them, Purple took care of Pink for the rest of her life, until she finally passed away from unknown causes, leaving him to bury her and mourn her death.
    • He was genuinely loyal towards King Orange with implications he viewed him as a father figure. While they (justifiably) become enemies once King Orange leaves him to die, once he redeems himself, Purple forgives him for his crimes and happily becomes his surrogate son.

Trivia[]
