Prince Vekar was the leader of the Armada fleet and the main antagonist of Power Rangers Super Megaforce, a unseen antagonist of Power Rangers Megaforce. He is the eldest son of Emperor Mavro and the older brother of Prince Vrak.

His Evil Rankings[]

Debated Validation[]

  • While he is obviously jealous of his brother for being favored by Mavro, in his first scene, he may still care about Vrak and his presumed death as he thanks Levira for her concern for him and declares that he will avenge his death. However, he also brushed aside any possibility that he might be still alive (which he was). So it is questionable whether Vekar's care for Vrak was greater than any jealousy he may have had or is simply just saying so to maintain his image in front of his followers.

What Makes Him Heinous?[]

  • He led the armada's attack of Orion's homeworld Andresia, which killed everyone except Orion and causes him to become the silver ranger and swear revenge. While not appearing onscreen in Orion's flashback, it was confirmed he led the onslaught in "All Hail Prince Vekar" since when Orion accused him of the being the one who destroyed his planet, he doesn't even deny it, simply showing no remorse over it and mocked Orion by asking if he wanted an autograph.
    • This also implies that he led several other invasions for the Armada.
  • He sent down the Messenger to set up their invasion of Earth.
  • He had his forces attack Earth, which caused massive damage and took a long while to rebuild. Hardwood County High School was also damaged onscreen.
    • This keeps it from being a standard alien invasion that Power Rangers usually shows, as even Admiral Malkor, Creepox, and the Toxic Mutants' attacks aren't explored in that much depth.
  • He ordered Cybax to launch subterranean missiles designed specifically to destroy every major city on the planet.
  • He verbally mistreats his followers, especially Damaras, and blames them for his own failures to destroy the Power Rangers.
  • He stopped Damaras from searching for the Lion Wildzord not because he cared about it, but because he considered it pointless in comparison to The Armada's goal of universal conquest.
  • He manipulated one of his own field commanders into getting an upgraded collar which was actually a bomb planted in to blow him up in an attempt to kill the rangers, which shocked even Damaras. And all of this just because he couldn't stand Gorgax's attitude.
  • He tries to have Tranceferer switch human governors with Bruisers.
  • He went with Argus and Levira to destroy Professor Cog simply because he didn't want Cog to have it and because he hated that he somehow managed to get rid of the rangers when Vekar himself couldn't.
  • Upon gaining the Armada Megazord from his father Emperor Mavro, he uses it to try killing the rangers himself, nearly killing Troy Burrows and ordering Argus and some X-Borgs to hunt down the rest whom Troy evacuated from the skyship.
  • While his father Mavro is more dangerous and viler, he is an emperor controlling an entire empire and Vekar is a prince with zero powers and a smaller fleet compared to the one in the final two episodes, yet still uses those resources fully.
    • Unlike his father Mavro, his invasion and destruction of Andresia was the only instance of the Armada invading a planet before Earth we see onscreen, with no indication that it was done on Mavro's orders as much as it was merely approved by him.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He is far too comedic to be even NPE and he and his lines are played for laughs. Examples include telling his generals to only listen to him if it's a good idea, screaming not the face when blasted by Noah, overreacting to a paper cut, the times where he gets his commanders names wrong, asking Damaras who said he could be taller than him, the autograph line above, and overall acting like a bratty grown up child.
  • He is somewhat tragic as he overheard his father call him a foolish, empty-headed blunderer compared to his brother Vrak whom Mavro favored and ordered Damaras to protect him due to being his firstborn and heir. As a result, he seeks to prove his father wrong.
  • He loves his father and his motivation is to finally impress him.
  • He has some care for Argus, whom he referred to as the only one he could trust and tried to avenge him when he was destroyed by Noah.
  • Is sometimes nice to Levira.
  • His death is played for sympathy as Mavro is saddened by his death and seeks to avenge both him and Vrak while Damaras recovers his corpse from the wrecked Armada Megazord, blaming himself for his death and wanting to redeem himself in the eyes of Emperor Mavro. This even extends to the rangers to some extent, as they are disgusted that Vrak doesn't care.

Trivia[]

  • He is IH while his brother Vrak is Pure Evil and his father is Near Pure Evil.
  • He is the third Power Rangers IH from the Neo-Saban Era, the first two being Bigs and Bluefur, and the only Megaforce IH from the super season and who is an alien.
