Pamela Lilian "Pam" Isley, also known as Poison Ivy, is one of the four secondary antagonists of the second generation of the DC Super Hero Girls franchise. She is a teenaged student at Metropolis High School and a member of the Super Villain Girls.
Her Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Her Heinous?[]
In general[]
- She has a tremendous hatred for the whole human species. She stands out as one of the few villains in a mostly lighthearted series who has actively and openly tried to kill civilians. Even the Joker and Lex Luthor have only tried to cause mass destruction that would obviously kill people, rather than specifically targeting civilians like Ivy does.
- While she doesn't seem to hate the other Super Villain Girls and likes hanging out with them to do crime, their relationship with each other isn't elaborated on enough to know if Ivy truly likes them or simply tolerates them.
Main series[]
- In "#Beeline," with the other Super Villain Girls, she attempted to destroy a major bridge in Metropolis.
- In "#FromBatToWorse," she took over a pesticide plant, where she created an army of plants that she indended to use to wipe out the entire human population of Metropolis. She also repeatedly attempted to murder Batgirl with said plants while taunting her.
- In "#MisgivingTree," she attempted to murder a crew of woodcutters (around 5 people), and only failed due to intervention by Green Lantern.
- In "#Frenemies," she and the other Super Villain Girls committed various acts of vandalism across Metropolis.
- After seeing her camping mates destroy some wood in "#Retreat," Pam went off, created an army of zombie plants, and attempted to kill the other campers (Garth, Hal, Jessica, Babs, and Karen). When Jessica finds Pam after the incident, Pam is visibly disappointed by the fact they survived.
- In "#AngerManagement," she created a giant monster out of water and algae to go on a rampage in Metropolis.
Super Shorts[]
- In "#HashtagFrownyFace," she repeatedly assaulted Batgirl.
- In "#Vegecide," she tried to murder everyone at a vegan restaurant because they were eating plants. This included Jessica, who Pam lost respect for, subverting one of her few human friendships.
- In "#EqualTights," she tried to drop an unknown woman into what looks like a pit of lava.
Teen Titans Go! & DC Super Hero Girls: Mayhem in the Multiverse[]
- She, with the other Super Villain Girls, joined Lex Luthor's Legion of Doom and helped take over the world.
- She and Star Sapphire trapped Katana and Aquaman in the Phantom Zone.
What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- In the episodes where she's most prominent, Ivy is very often played for sympathy:
- In "#MisgivingTree," she mourns the destruction of the ancient tree, bursts into tears at its stump, and comes to think that humanity is a lost cause.
- In "#Retreat," she is horrified by her friends burning wood, which she believed was in pain.
- In "#DetentionClub," she keeps a plant in memory of her father, whom she lost and deeply misses.
- She is a well-intentioned extremist who genuinely wants to protect the environment from destruction by human hands. As a result, she is protective of her potted plant named Phil, the ancient tree in Metropolis, the Toxicodendron isleyonus her father gave her, and several other plants she encounters in the series.
- Though it didn't last, she was willing to get along with Jessica after they planted a seed together at the end of "#MisgivingTree."
- In "#DetentionClub", after Hal helped her get her plant back from the principal, she repaid him by secretly using her powers to destroy the principal computer, which had all the student's grades, including Hal's 'F' so the report cards couldn't be seen.
- Despite being taken seriously as a threat, there are numerous moments where Ivy is played for laughs. These include, but are not limited to, mourning a slice of lettuce in her sandwich, and then changing moods when she ravenously ate the sandwich's meat; eating the egg that she was supposed to keep intact for a school assignment; lightly knocking over a single vase while the other Super Villain Girls were trashing a museum; and fighting with Harleen over a TV remote in a slapstick manner.
