Piggy is the secondary antagonist of Dav Pilkey's Dog Man novel series, a spin-off to the Captain Underpants franchise.
He is a nefarious, selfish, and hypocritical pig who regularly tries to defeat his enemies to therefore take over the world, for seemingly no specific reason than to take revenge on his arch-nemesis and former childhood friend Petey the Cat for shutting down the scout troop he, Petey, Crunky, and Bub were members of. However, since the fifth book, Piggy has shown to not care about these events and is just being evil for fun. Currently, he is one of the two current arch-nemeses (alongside Grampa) of Petey and the arch-nemesis of his former minions Crunky and Bub.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- In his younger years, he, Crunky, and Bub lie to their scout leader that Petey forced them into goofing off and had him kicked out. This event would ultimately be one of the reasons Petey became as evil as he was until his redemption.
- While his life became pointless like Petey's after the latter shut down the Critter Scouts, this does not excuse the fact he betrayed Petey and got him kicked out in the first place. This was not played for sympathy and as a result, doesn't make him tragic.
- He leads Petey and the people running Cat Jail that he is a mere psychiatrist named Dr. Katz by disguising himself.
- He reveals that he had lured Petey into a trap using his psychiatrist disguise and would soon try to kill Li'l Petey, Petey's younger clone who was (around) only a week old at the time.
- He, Crunky, and Bub fight against Chief and Milly for seemingly no reason.
- After learning Petey and Li'l Petey had escaped, Piggy, Crunky, and Bub start chasing the two.
- After being beaten up by Chief, Milly, Sarah, and Zuzu, he orders the Robo-Brontosaurus to capture them, which, in a way, was a form of kidnapping.
- He orders the Robo-Brontosaurus to kill Petey and Li'l Petey multiple times.
- In an attempt to show off the Robo-Brontosaurus' death ray, he orders it to destroy a building with it.
- He orders the Robo-Brontosaurus to zap its death ray at all the seven heroes, which included Li'l Petey.
- He fights Petey cockpitting his giant robot. This action brought terror to the watching heroes.
- After two hours of fighting, Piggy stops the fight, goes up to Petey, and attempts to manipulate him into becoming a villain again. It's visibly clear that this manipulation attempt almost succeeded had Piggy not mentioned Li'l Petey.
- He sends Petey and his robot flying to a giant building, which would've severely injured Petey.
- He shows no care for Crunky and Bub when they are forced to carry Petey's shrink ray that had shrunk them.
- He gloats smugly that he had done the hard work of carrying the shrink ray and shrinks the giant robot Petey had in the previous book.
- He, Crunky, and Bub go out and steal from a costume store and disguise themselves as Dog Man before going out on a robbing spree that night. Due to donning the same appearance as Dog Man, the latter is falsely accused for the FLEAS' crimes and is imprisoned under a cruel warden.
- He, Crunky, and Bub, still disguised as Dog Man, steal from a Living Spray factory outlet.
- When being tackled down by Sarah, Yolay, and Zuzu, Piggy attempts to spray his stolen Living Spray at a nearby car to turn it sentient and evil.
- At a local large theater, Piggy, Crunky, and Bub escape from fighting Sarah, Yolay, and Zuzu and go up to the theater screen, currently showing a claymation version of Philly, with much fire in the background. Fully knowing this, Piggy sprays the theater screen with Living Spray, which brought Claymation Philly (and all the fire in the background of the film) into the real world, forcing everyone in the very large theater to evacuate.
- He attempts to go up to Petey's ear and hypnotize him into doing whatever he desired. After unintentionally being sent to Big Jim's fur, Piggy attempts and suceeds at doing the same thing.
- He manipulates Daryl the Moth into helping him steal the Hope Mood Ring, making Daryl believe he was doing something heroic.
- He constantly yells at Crunky, Bub, Daryl, Daryl's Uncle Larry, a fly named Mike, and a beetle named Ducky for being dimwitted and incompetent, severely hurting their feelings.
- He abandons Crunky and Bub at Mini Jail when he escapes the prison with a reluctant Daryl. He even slyly waves them goodbye.
- He manipulates Crunky, Bub, Daryl, Uncle Larry, Mike, and Ducky in putting the Ohkay City into a massive pumpkin pie food fight, saying that it would make the civilians "happy".
- When all the heroes come into the submarine, Piggy escapes from the submarine after having it shrink itself. After doing so, he slaps the submarine with his hooves in an attempt to murder everyone in there, which included newborns Li'l Petey and Molly, as well as his own henchmen.
- He robs five banks after getting rid of his enemies.
- While being reduced to a pet hamster while his owners sing annoying songs for him was comedic, it was also karmic for all that he's done.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- Despite not having any redeeming qualities, he has way too many comedic moments to qualify for Pure Evil or even Near Pure Evil. These moments usually happen when he is annoyed and/or angered, especially at the friendly friends.
