Rudy Jones, better known as Parasite, is a supporting antagonist in DC Universe, serving as a major antagonist in the Superman franchise. He is a superhuman criminal who feeds off of the energy of people, also adopting their strength and abilities.

New Earth[]
- He uses his powers to drain the lives of innocent people.
- He found out who he thought was dying and went to destroy the nuclear weapons. He had no idea that this could cause apocalypse.
- He attempted to kill people while going on a rampage.
- He absorbed the living one, Torval Freeman, who was now inside of him.
- He drains the life out of military people, leaving only one alive.
- He attempted to drain the life out of Supergirl.
- He attempted to stalk and even kill both Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen.
- He slept with Lex Luthor while impersonating Lois Lane, committing rape by deception.
- He tries to get Superman emotionally from Lois Lane.
Prime Earth[]
- He went inside a school bus to drain the lives of the children, teacher and bus driver.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is tragic because, as the monster from his hunger grew stronger on him, he wished for his hunger to vanish.
- Parasite would eat every single one of his former clones to save Metropolis.
- He teamed up with Superman to stop Metallo.
- He and Superman succeed in stopping Metallo. Even Superman tells him that he was once a hero, which made him remorseful.
- In Dark Nights: Death Metal, he and other villains join the heroes to defend the battle of Earth-0.
- Rudy reforms himself by working for Supercorp.
- He is friendly to the Parasite creature, even keeping it as a pet.
- He saved Superman from Doomsday.
