Fun isn't something one considers when balancing the ocean, but I must admit, I'm deeply enjoying the fire!
~ Oscar's most famous quote.
I AM A REAL SHARKSLAYER!!!
~ Oscar declaring his victory over Don Lino and celebrating the extinction of all of the Sharks, which is also Oscar's villainous breakdown
noicon
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!
~ Oscar as he is summoned by Pappy G.

Oscar, also known by his title of The Sharkslayer, is the main antagonist of the Schaffrillas Productions YouTube channel.

He is a parody of the main character of the 2004 DreamWorks film Shark Tale who, instead of redeeming himself after gaining oceanwide fame from seemingly killing Frankie the shark, took it one step further by slaughtering the rest of the shark population as he would go to become the Governor of the Ocean, and later attempt to kill everyone on Earth's surface. He is also the adoptive son of Sykes, the former master of Pappy G, and the archenemy of Schaffrillas, Flintheart Glomgold, and Tamatoa.

He was voiced (through archive recordings) by Will Smith.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Heinous?[]

  • When he overhears that a seahorse race is seemingly rigged and that Lucky Day might win, he gambles all the money he owes to Sykes (which was also given by his girlfriend Angie who had pawned off her pearl for it) on the seahorse, which results in him losing it all when it loses.
  • After Frankie, the son of the Shark Mafia's leader Don Lino, is crushed to death by an anchor, Oscar tells a completely falsified story that he was the one that killed him, resulting in him becoming the most famous fish in Reef City.
  • When he is berated by Angie for how his greed has corrupted him, he bluntly admits that he doesn't regret it at all, and rudely throws away her claim that she loved him even as a "nobody".
  • During his meeting with Don Lino and the rest of the Shark Mafia, he commands his younger son Lenny to "execute Order 6", launching an all-out attack on every shark in the ocean, killing all of them in the process, before trapping Lino and Lenny in a washer and leaving the two to die as he declares himself a "real Sharkslayer".
  • Though per request of Mrs. Claus, he fires the Death Star's ice beam at the Heat Miser's base to destroy it, before crushing him to death with a pillar and usurping his title.
  • When Flintheart Glomgold is exposed as the one who stole Clamu's pearl, he and Sykes crucify him before killing his adoptive shark son with a targeted strike, making the entire shark species completely extinct.
    • What makes this deed even worse, is heavily implied Oscar framed Glomgold and Glomgold did not steal Clamu's pearl.
  • He mistakes Mr. Ratburn's nose for a shark and burns the rat to death, destroying a swimming pool in the process.
  • He destroys Mung Dahl's Schmingerbread House after Mung confesses that he directed Shark Tale, which Mung Dahl considers his second-greatest shame.
  • In Why Shark Tale is a Cinematic Disaster, he decides to kill Schaffrillas for the petty reason of deeming Shark Tale a cinematic disaster, despite him also stating that he enjoys the movie regardless.
  • It is implied that he was the one that shot and presumably killed Spongebob with a laser when he was about to defeat Sykes.
  • In Why Tamatoa is My Favorite Character Ever, he manipulates Schaffrillas' brother Pappy G into assembling the Heart of Te Fiti, so he can breathe on land and reach Earth's surface, by preying on his want for more subscribers to his YouTube channel, only to go back on the deal once he succeeds. He goes on to summon the "Martin Scorsese Fish Moon" (a giant moon with Sykes' face on it), and sets it on a collision course with Earth, intent on it destroying the planet's surface and killing everyone on there, in order to conquer it with the Ocean.
  • While he did also tell Pappy G that he would request everyone at Reef City's Whale Wash to subscribe to his channel which would honor his end of the deal to some extent, this was pragmatic so Pappy could trust him again.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He has plenty of comedic moments due to being a parodic character originating from YouTube Poops, although he is taken more seriously than other characters from the series, making this a minor prevention.
  • He seems to show some amount of care and affinity for Sykes, allowing him to be his adoptive "Puff Daddy", generally acting friendly with him, creating the aforementioned moon with his likeness, and apparently saving him from SpongeBob's wrath (if the laser that killed SpongeBob was in fact fired by him).
  • During the final battle in Why Tamatoa is My Favorite Character Ever, when Pappy G distracts him by claiming that he was a somebody this whole time, Oscar appears to be touched by this claim, implying that he always felt insecure about himself even after everything he did.
  • He seems to have some standards as he called the Elf Doctor a "greedy dirtbag" after he says that they should let it die instead of letting it snow and then blew him up.
  • He has some pet the dog moments such as allowing it to snow in the south.

Trivia[]

  • Oscar's characterization in the Schaffrillas Productions videos seems to be based on the fact that, in the original Shark Tale movie, Oscar was considered a resoundingly unlikable character, even a borderline villain, that was barely called out.
  • This version of Oscar is, alongside the Unchi version of Shrek and Joeybar version of Big Jack Horner, one of the three DreamWorks Animation fanon villains to be Inconsistently Heinous.
