Omega is one of the overarching antagonists of the Doctor Who franchise.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Heinous?[]

  • "Harnessed the power of a thousand suns" to create time travel.
  • Because his actions made the Time Lords godlike, he is indirectly responsible for everything they do.
  • Convinced Oxirgi to create chaos on their planet, including sending nuclear bombs to destroy the planet, just to bring himself into the physical world.
  • Tried to capture and torment the Third Doctor so that he could replace him in the real universe.
  • After learning that his body is gone, and he only continues to exist through his own willpower, he breaks down and swears to destroy all things.
  • Planned to launch a surprise attack to destroy Gallifrey and wipe out the Time Lords, not out of remorse, but out of spite.
  • Planned to use himself as a suicide bomb to destroy earth.
  • Killed Tarpov, an actor playing his assistant in a recreation of his original death, and Ertikus, the actor playing him.

Why is he inconsistent?[]

  • He is played for sympathy, much too much for NPE. He was Rassilon’s friend before Rassilon betrayed him and sent him into a black hole, causing him to decay away and try any plan to get back into reality.
    • In fact, this origin is so inconsistent in nature that he technically has multiple tragedies.
  • His decay from living in the antimatter universe and becoming a being of pure will later only kept alive by the Doctor’s energy leaves him with moral agency issues.
  • He isn’t played entirely seriously in “Antimatter with Fries”.
  • He has fallen in love with at least two women in his life and doesn't subvert his care for them.
