Precious. Human life isn't precious. Not in general--not everyone. People risk their lives everyday. They kill each other. If they don't think their lives are important, why should I? Most of them are utterly insignificant.
~ Oliver Grayson is unable to find why life is precious.
What Omni-Man and you say about the Earth is true of my mother, and very few of others. I have read the entirety of their written history... my opinion of them differs from yours... substantially. They're assholes. They only care for taking what they don't have from those that do. They're a small and petty people who are nearly addicted to violence as our race is. You believe Viltrumites will learn from them, and be made better by it. I'm sorry, father... but... you're wrong.
~ Oliver Grayson explaining to Omni-Man as to why the Human race can't be trusted with the Viltrumites.

Oliver Grayson, also known as Kid Omni-Man or Young Omni-Man is a major character in the Image Comic Book series, Invincible. He is the son of Omni-Man and Andressa, while also being the half-brother of Invincible/Mark Grayson. Oliver Grayson was initially raised on planet Thraxa before he is taken to Earth by Invincible due to Omni-Man's capture by the Viltrumites and Andressa's short life span. On Earth, Oliver Grayson becomes a superhero to follow his father's footsteps, Omni-Man. However, in pursuing Omni-Man's example, Oliver Grayson's struggle to care for life and humanity influences him to commit questionable crimes which could hurt innocent people in the pursuit of the greater good.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Heinous?[]

  • Due to his inability to value life, Oliver Grayson was prone to committing murder in stopping villainy.
  • Killed off the Mauler Twins in a merciless fashion, which horrified his superhero allies and Invincible/Mark Grayson.
  • Believed Humans to be a disgusting species because of their history of violence and selfish tendencies.
  • Sided with Allen when Omni-Man attempted to stop him from releasing the Scourge Virus on Earth, which had the potential to wipe Humans along with Viltrumites. He believed that it was okay for humanity to die from the Scourge Virus in order to ensure that Viltrumites are eliminated as long as his family is safe.
  • He and Allen both fought Invincible in an attempt to release the Scourge Virus on Earth, only stopping when Thragg intervened.
  • Despite the fact that Allen had negotiated with Thragg on not using the Scourge Virus on Earth, Oliver Grayson stole Allen's scourge virus to take the opportunity in poisoning Earth with the Scourge Virus.
  • While fighting against Invincible, Oliver Grayson had accidentally shot him with the Scourge Virus, nearly getting Invincible killed.
  • By having Invincible poisoned by the Scourge Virus, Oliver Grayson had indirectly revealed the Grayson family's bloodline to King Argall, resulting in Thragg wanting to kill them all.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He is generally a heroic character whose questionable actions were done purely for stopping villainous threats.
  • He is far too tragic and sympathic as his world was invaded by Viltrumite’s while he was just an infant and his biology caused him to outlive his mother before he could even talk. It’s revealed that, despite his age at the time, he remembered everything about his mother and his home planet, causing the trauma to leave him with an unrelenting hatred of the Viltrumites.
  • He is genuinely affable towards all of his allies and family, refusing to let them get hurt from his actions, even though he is prepared to have innocent people killed by the Scourge Virus.
  • Upon realizing his actions of attempting to release the Scourge Virus had nearly killed his brother, Invincible/Mark Grayson, he apologizes to him and promises to become a better person.
  • After the Scourge Virus incident, he subverted all of his corrupting factors, performing heroic deeds without using any questionable methods that could endanger innocent people.
