Nugget: Nugget doesn't want half!!

Protagonist: You don't?
Nugget: NUGGET WANTS THEM ALL!!!

~ Nugget before killing the rest of the school
NUGGET SAID NO!
~ Nugget after the player drops their knife into the Nugget Cave

Nugget is the tritagonist of Kindergarten. He is known for his constant talking in third person and his obsession with nuggets.

His Evil Ranking[]

Debated Validations[]

  • It is unknown if he spares Billy during the secret ending of Kindergarten 2 as Nugget is never shown to kill him on screen. However, implications are high enough that it can be safely assumed that he did.
  • While it seemed like Nugget redeemed himself at the end of Creature Feature, the monstermon card ending where he kills the entire school happens after this, which invalidates it. However, it is possible these endings are non-canon, given that Lily's ending in the first game was canon, and Creature Feature is most likely the canon ending, but it hasn't been 100% confirmed, making his redemption ambiguous.

What Makes Him Heinous?[]

  • He had The Protagonist kill Buggs with a poisoned Nugget (and in Ms. Applegate's mission he feeds them a poisoned nugget too, one that he will not offer the antidote for unless they do what he asks).
  • He killed everyone in both of his schools (with the exception of The Protagonist (and possibly Billy)) with no regret, with his kill count amounting to 28, making him the character with the highest kill count, exceeding that of even the protagonist.
  • Despite his mental derangement, he has shown to be self-aware by mentioning that he has killed every student before in Kindergarten 2 (referencing when he did the same thing in the first game) showing that Nugget remembers past timelines despite them not canonically happening meaning he most likely remembers killing them in failed runs, yet seems to show no remorse for this.
  • He is okay with helping Felix kill Ted it it means he can go to his nugget factory, despite Felix's plan being major overkill.
  • He brutally beats Felix when he finds out he had lied to him about the nugget factory.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He's shown to genuinely care for others, such as Lily, who he is very clearly interested in, and even put his life on the line to save her from being inhaled by the female principal. And Billy, of whom he created a grave for after he had disappeared and will break down crying once the player places a flower on his makeshift grave.
    • Additionally, at the end of his story route in both games, he'll grow to care about the protagonist, earnestly calling them his friend after they've done all he requested.
  • He has a merciful side as shown by the fact that he spares The Protagonist in the secret endings of both Kindergarten games with no pragmatic reasoning.
  • He is often played for comic relief, with none of his heinous actions being played seriously. His mass murder of his school in the first game only exists for a punchline to promote the sequel, and in the sequel it's meant to be a parody of the "Snap" from Infinity War, complete with Nugget snapping his fingers twice so everyone in the school can die instead of just half of them.
  • He is On & Off, as seen by the fact that he helps The Protagonist, Billy and Lily in saving the school from the tyrannical principal, with said venture being for genuinely altruistic reasons of bringing the school peace as well as protecting Lily.

Trivia[]

  • Nugget, alongside The Protagonist is one of two Inconsistently Heinous Kindergarten characters to also be Inconsistently Admirable.
  • During the second game's secret ending, he parodies fellow IH Thanos.
