Inconsistently Heinous Wiki

Hush now, hide, all you little ones
Rush now, into the middle of nowhere
Singing and laughter will die
Dreamless sleep, follows the Nowhere King
When his kingdom comes, darkness is nigh
Quiet, crawl to the in-between
Silent, secretive feeling
Of fearsome hatred that reaches the skies
You will bring joy to the Nowhere King
When he sees the light leaving your eyes.
~ The lyrics to the Nowhere King's lullaby.
There is no escape. You belong nowhere, like me.
~ The Nowhere King attempting to entrap Horse within his own mind during The Last Lullaby.

The Nowhere King, originally known as the Elk, is the main antagonist of the Netflix animated series Centaurworld. He is the Elk half of the General and the ruler and creator of the evil horde of Minotaurs that wage war against both mankind and the centaurs.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Heinous?[]

  • He began kidnapping innocent humans and animals and forcibly merging them into the minotaur army. This is shown to be a terrible fate, since the minotaurs lose mostly all free will and are controlled by the Nowhere King.
  • With this army, he then proceeded to launch a devastating war for conquest on both the human world and Centaurworld, resulting in many untold casualties.
  • There is a lot of on-screen impact to this conquest, as we see the wartorn human world, a bleak and desolate land littered with abandoned villages, burned to the ground. Not to mention, they destroyed Wammawink's village, leaving her among the only survivors.
  • Upon them entering The Rift, he tries to kill Horse, Rider, and the other centaurs when they fight him in The Rift.
  • Upon escaping The Rift, he returned to his castle, and began making plans to build his army to destroy Centaurworld and the human world once and for all.
  • Using The Relic, he experiments on the Minotaurs to create the super minotaurs by fusing them with other animals.
  • While experimenting, he has a birdtaur, Bayden, fused with a minotaur and a crocodile, turning him into a horrifying monster and leaving him in a crazed state with little of his original personality remaining.
  • While he states he created the minotaurs because he wanted a family, he is shown not to care about them as the Nowhere King ,as he eats one of his soldiers due to rampant hunger.
  • Brings his forces to The Rift, with the intention of finally conquering out Centaurworld.
  • When Horse enters his mind to see his backstory, he tries to trap her there forever as he finds her in there, and soon as he regains control.
  • In the ensuing final battle, many humans and centaurs die fighting down his army, with The Nowhere King personally killing several of them in an attack.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • His backstory is tragic.
    • He started as The Elktaur, a rift worker who had wanted to live life as A human. This led him to experience insecurity and yearning that culminated with him splitting himself into a human and an elk, so his human half could have the life he felt he never could.
    • After the Elktaur split himself in two, The Elk was left to live as a wild animal while his human counterpart, The General, got to marry The Woman, who they both loved. When he confronted The General about how miserable he was and threatened to tell The Woman the truth, The General tried to drown him in a nearby pond, only stopping when he realized killing The Elk would result in his own death. When The General couldn't kill him, he had him locked in a cell in the dungeon for years to keep the elk a secret, before The Woman learned the truth and freed him.
    • He originally wanted to create the Minotaurs to be his companions but had gotten mutated into the Nowhere King by misusing the Rift key.
    • However, this is a minor prevention, since as Horse points out, it doesn't justify the horrible things he did, and The Woman told him she would have loved him as a centaur, essentially making his tragedy somewhat self-inflicted.
  • He had genuinely loved The Woman, and a big part of why he split apart his human and elk halves is so his human half could be with her.
  • He originally made the minotaurs to be companions to him like a family due to his own desperate loneliness.
  • Even after becoming evil and corrupted, he still had some good in him in his inner consciousness, with his elk self helping Horse escape his mind.
  • His death is played for sympathy, as The Woman fuses the two halves of the Elktaur, lamenting in a song how she would have loved him before tearfully killing him as the Elktaur accepts his fate.
