Nolbu (In Korean: 놀부, Nolbu) is the titular main antagonist of Heungbu and Nolbu, a pansori novel of the Joseon Dynasty, .

What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- He pretended to be friendly with Heungbu while his father was alive, but when his father died, he drove Heungbu's family out of the house, condemning to a life in poverty
- Even before his family broke into two, he was notorious for being an deviant man and cause troubles across the country, which includes:
- Raping a female monk as an old man.
- Forcing people to buy his items in higher prices.
- Assaulting a soldier.
- Sabotaging dispatch orders.
- Sabotaging a dam used to put out fires.
- Putting arsenic in alcohol.
- Lighting multiple fires, including on a man's farmyard.
- Feeding poop to children.
- After he heard that Heungbu had become richer than himself by the swallow, he purposely broke the swallow's leg.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- After losing all of his possessions and becoming poor because of the swallow that broke his leg, he feels immense remorse for his sinful misdeeds and makes amends with his brother, redeeming himself in the process.

- Only the original novel version of Nolbu counts. This is because the other adaptations of Heungbu and Nolbu omit the other heinous crimes Nolbu committed.
