Nathalie Sancoeur, formerly also known by her supervillainess identity Mayura, is a major character in the French CGI animated superhero show Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. She is the former treasure hunter and the right hand woman of Gabriel Agreste/Hawk Moth, whom she aided in his quest to gain the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous in order to revive his wife Emilie, who was in a coma due to using the broken Peacock Miraculous. However, when Gabriel became more and more obsessed with defeating Ladybug and Cat Noir, even choosing to try and defeat the heroes over a chance to revive his wife peacefully, Nathalie defects from him and attempts to keep his son Adrien safe from his increasingly controlling nature. She is Adrien's current legal guardian, as well as his mother figure.
She's voiced by Nathalie Homs in the French version and by Sabrina Weisz in the English dub.

What Makes Her Heinous?[]
- She helps Hawk Moth out in the Season 2 finale, agreeing to be akumatized into Catalyst & granting Hawk Moth the ability to akumatize more than 1 person, as many as he wants, and using the broken Peacock Miraculous to aid him by creating a Butterfly sentimonster despite knowing the risks.
- In Season 3, she would continue to help out Gabriel by creating sentimonsters, such as giving Reflekta the Reflekdoll sentimonster and in the Season 3 finale, creating a Buttefly sentimonster, and using said Sentimonster to break Master Fu's Shell-ter in hopes of gaining the Miracle Box, leading Fu to transfer the role of the Guardian to Ladybug.
- In "Ladybug" she killed the sentimonster version of Ladybug after she allied herself with Ladybug and Chat Noir.
- In Season 4 it is revealed she created a Sentimonster called Optigami to help Gabriel find out the secret identity of Ladybug.
- During the New York special, she created a Sentimonster of the Akumatized villain Robostus, and disposes of it before Ladybug could use her "Miraculous Ladybug" ability and restore the damage it caused, making any potential casualties permanent.
- In the episode "Passion" she gets herself akumatized into Safari, a ranger-themed akumatized villain with multiple of the Miraculous superpowers. And unbeknownst to Monarch, her actual goal is to take the Miraculous of the two heroes for herself to make a wish. Said wish would destroy the universe, which Nathalie is shown to be aware of in the episode "Conformation".
- While she does have a few comedic moments for the audience to find funny (e.g her sarcastic retorts towards Gabriel), but these moments are only far and in-between, and it doesn't detract her villainy but also shows how dead-serious she is due to being taken fairly seriously by the characters and the narrative in the show.
What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- She cares for Gabriel, and while she may have shedded her care for him, she is still shown to care for his son Adrien and wife Emilie, honoring the latter's wish to keep the former safe.
- She is very kind to Adrien, protecting him from akumatized villains when she is around and comforting him when his father cannot see him. She becomes much closer and more maternal to him in Season 5.
- After her turning against Gabriel she becomes a more neutral character, allowing Adrien to see Marinette when Gabriel is telling him not to.
- She eventually redeems herself in the Season 5 finale, when she tells Ladybug to defeat Gabriel and hands her a phone with a video of Émilie on it to convince Gabriel to give up.
- She has standards, objecting to Gabriel as he becomes increasingly crueler and more controlling of Adrien during Season 5.
- She is affably evil as she is often polite towards others even as a villain.

- Along with Gabriel, Stormy Weather, Cat Blanc, YanLuoShi and Tikki, she is the only Inconsistently Heinous of Miraculous franchise.
- She is one of the few characters to be Inconsistently Heinous and Near Pure Good, others including Thel 'Vadam, Cedric the Sorcerer, Grace Monroe, Joseph Korso, Kaworu Nagisa, Kiyoharu Suirenji, Sunset Shimmer, The Animator and Tikki.
- Along with the cinematic universe's Hawk Moth, she is the only Inconsistently Hideous in the franchise who is also a Magnificent Baddie.
- With Lila/Cerise being the current holder of the Butterfly Miraculous as of Season 5, it's unknown if she will set higher heinous standards. If this happens, Nathalie could be demoted to being a Benchmark Villain or remain Inconsistently Heinous.
