Inconsistently Heinous Wiki

Hey. Watts, up? You know, Watts. The sixty one bulb! WATTS. Up?
~ Mr. Electric explaining his "watts" jokes to Sharkboy.
You think you can just snap your eyes open and make me vanish??? Not so easy. I, am the danger of dreaming. For every person who dreams up the electric light bulb, there's the one person who dreams up, the atom bomb. This is one dream you won't be waking up from. I'm going to put an end to this ridiculous tangent at its source.
~ Mr. Electric to Max, before heading to the real world.

Mr. Electricidad, best known under his supervillain name Mr. Electric, is the main antagonist of the 2005 3D superhero adventure film The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D.

He is, as his name indicates, the electrician of Planet Drool and the manifestation of Max's real-life stern yet well-meaning teacher Mr. Electricidad. However, as he embodies the worst of Electricidad's aspects, Mr. Electric has taken over Planet Drool under the orders of Minus, whom he reluctantly serves as long as he is evil as him.

He was portrayed by George Lopez.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Heinous?[]

  • Unlike the real Mr. Electricidad, who is just a stern and strict but otherwise well-meaning school teacher who just wishes the best for his students, Mr. Electric is Planet Drool's former electrician and Minus' minion, who one day got bored of running Planet Drool so he teamed up with Minus and took over all of Planet Drool, allowing Minus to corrupt all of the planet's dreams by sleeping in the Cave of Dreams.
  • Transforms a theme park into "Mount Neverrest" by forcing any kids who wish to spend a good time there into a roller-coaster that never stops working, forcing at least fourteen kids to stay buckled all the time to their seats and not being allowed to leave, thus preventing them from sleeping and dreaming to not cost Mr. Electric his power.
    • This can be essentially considered a fate worse than death, as all those kids weren't allowed to even rest in such state, with the roller-coasting always resuming upon seconds of arriving at its stop to not let the kids unbuckle from their seats. Even Mr. Electric confirms that his roller-coaster is "eternal", which proves he planned to keep all those kids buckled there forever.
  • Starts yelling at his prisoners from his speakers once Max, Sharkboy and Lavagirl free his roller-coaster's passengers, demanding his former prisoners to have fun as long to deprive them from their sleep.
  • Mocks Lavagirl's pleadings to return to his original duties like he was meant to do, assuring her and her friends that now brings misery to Planet Drool so he can lead it to its destruction under Minus' orders.
  • Sends his snake-like plug henchmen to attack Lavagirl, Sharkboy and Max, even though the latter doesn't have any superpowers like his best friends.
  • Electrocutes Lavagirl after deceiving her of having stopped him and proceeds to throw her, Sharkboy and Max into the Dream Graveyard, which is where all the useless dreams go to be abandoned and die alone.
    • It should be noted that, as the heroic trio found their way to the graveyard, enormous grandson's watches nearly knock them off to their deaths had they not been able to avoid them.
  • Scares a little kid he hadn't captured by yelling at him for his own amusement due to the kid not knowing where he was speaking from until Minus orders him to find Max and prevent him from learning about his powers over the planet.
  • Tracks Max, Sharkboy and Lavagirl down with his plug-hounds, leading his hounds to trap and electrocute Lavagirl and the heroes to kill all of them, which Mr. Electric doesn't mind at all.
  • Corners and catches the trio at the Ice Kingdom's bridge to take them to Minus, who nearly gets Sharkboy eaten by piranhas.
  • Warns Minus once Max steals his dream diary back from him and asks him what he should do, inciting Minus into ordering him to crush Sharkboy and Lavagirl, who are Max's favorite dreams.
  • Tricks Sharkboy into swimming towards his location by killing some fish on an icy lake only to then distract him with one of his lame jokes and throw a bucket of electric eels into the water to kill Sharkboy, whom the eels severely wounded and left for dead until Lavagirl gave up her life to save him from drowning. Max was only able to bring both back to life thanks to Tobor's encouragement.
  • Goes after Sharkboy before Sharkboy summons his fellow shark friends to bite him.
  • Flat-out rejects Minus' offer to redeem himself like Minus accepted to do after Max offered him his sympathies, declaring that he always hated his job at Planet Drool and bringing happiness to people, defecting from Minus for turning good and flying off to Earth to kill Max during his sleep to prevent him from waking up forever to ensure he doesn't get defeated.
  • Causes the tornado that led Max into going to Planet Drool at the beginning of the film, arriving to the Earth through the dangerous vortex to arrive at the school. By making the tornado, Mr. Electric endangered several people and nearly sucks Max's parents to their deaths had Sharkboy and Lavagirl not come to rescue them in time.
  • Gets Linus zapped in the butt for standing up to him even though Linus was defenseless and wasn't even a threat.
  • Taunts Mr. Electricidad's daughter Marissa before likely trying to attack and/or kill her until Marissa uses the Crystal Heart of the Ice Princess from Planet Drool to freeze him to death.
    • And speaking of his death, it is not played for sympathy, it is already well deserved for his actions.
  • Only his threat and his dangerous actions, were what Mr. Electricidad and Linus had to witness to redeem themselves from their past mistakes and become better people.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He is simply way too comedic, as he has many comedic moments such as:
    • Behaving in a very childish and immature way when his crimes are called out by Lavagirl.
    • Making weird poses or noises when his enemies fight against him and his henchmen.
    • Sneezing inside his screen head.
    • Farting at one of his plug-hounds to knock it out for annoying him, then smelling and affirming himself as the fart's author.
    • Constantly making puns of electricity with multiple references to elements as well as taking the time to explain some of his unfunny and lame jokes to both Sharkboy and Marissa.
    • His defeat of being frozen to the point of exploding into pieces was exaggerated due to him making a ridiculous pose before being killed off.
