The Moon Bear King is the main antagonist of the 2013 platform video game, Puppeteer.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- Betraying the Moon Goddess by imprisoning her within a mirror as a fate worse than death after he was corrupted.
- Stealing Calibrus, a pair of magic scissors, to break the Light Moonstone into twelve pieces and give them to the generals.
- Using General Dragon, he stole countless souls of children to turn them into grubs, subjecting them to a fate worse than death as well.
- Abducting Pikarina and transforming her into a pixie.
- Ordering General Tiger to chase after and capture Kutaro, even threatening to rip the Moonstone shard from the General shall he fail the mission. And once he was defeated, Moon Bear King ended up turning General Tiger into a rug.
- Corrupting Moonwood while sending General Rat after Kutaro.
- Having the General Snake swallow Kutaro, General Rat, and Pikarina whole.
- Strangling General Rat to death for helping Kutaro.
- Tricking General Pig and General Sheep using Kutaro's head to tempt them into fighting the boy.
- When Kutaro arrives at the Halloween Ville and defeats General Robo Dog, he punished General Monkey after expressing his disappointment towards the General.
- Trapping Ezma Potts in a mirror just because Calibrus chose Kutaro and not him.
- Killing the Sun and his two guards after absorbing the souls of countless children.
- After the Moonstone was restored and Ezma Potts reassumed her role as the Moon Goddess, he sealed her in the same mirror he had previously used to imprison her before revealing his true, power-hungry goal of conquering the universe.
- Once Castle Grizzlestein was destroyed, he tried to kill Kutaro several times before being tricked and defeated by the boy.
- Following his second transformation into the Moon Bear King, he destroyed Kutaro's head for good before disappearing forever after seeing the Black Moonstone.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He has a genuinely tragedy, as he was once an innocent and kind young bear who was in charge of serving the Moon Goddess but was corrupted by the Black Moonstone.
- Due to his villainy being the result of his corruption by the Black Moonstone, he has prevalent moral agency issues.
- He shows genuine affability towards the Generals, as he obeyed and acted respectful and amicable towards them with no ulterior motive to do so.
- He has some comedic moments like him making a funny face.
- Him giving Kutaro's head to General Pig and General Sheep as a reward proves he has a sense of honorability.
- His desire for friendship (more specifically, to be able to become friends with Kutaro) gives him some insecurities that are played for sympathy.
- He redeems himself at the end of the game, where he makes peace with and befriends Kutaro.
