Miles "Tails" Prower is the main antagonist in the YouTube channel Mashed, serving as the titular main antagonist of the Secret History episode "Sonic & Tails" and the main antagonist of the web series There's Something About Amy, and is one of the two unseen overarching antagonists (alongside "the True Sonic") of There’s Something About Knuckles.
He is a intelligent yet insane and obsessive fox that was hired to be Sonic's partner, but when the other characters were introduced into the series, he killed them, Knuckles and Shadow being prime examples.
He is voiced by Mick Lauer (better known as RicePirate), who also voiced Raiden in the same series, and by Eileen Montgomery (better known as EileMonty) while in his "normal" form in There's Something About Amy.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
Secret History of Sonic & Tails[]
- Despite being hired as Sonic's sidekick, Tails has never been seen helping him out with his heroics as all he did was follow him around, unlike Knuckles, Shadow, and Amy, who actually assisted Sonic.
- Out of sheer jealousy and spite, he killed Sonic's friends so he could have him all to himself.
- He sabotaged Knuckles' phone, making it explode and kill him while he was sleeping.
- He tampered with Shadow's rocket shoes, causing them to malfunction and had Shadow splattered against a wall.
- Attempted to kill Amy by sabotaging her hammer with a bomb. Had this not been a trap set up by Amy, he most likely would have gotten away with her murder.
- While he is (or at the very least was) obsessed with Sonic, to call it genuine care would be an over exaggeration, as he has no issues with killing any version of the hedgehog that he deems fake, making it clear that he is simply obsessed with the idea of Sonic that he's painted in his head rather than genuine care.
- Later on, he becomes a deranged serial killer and many characters are seen dead and have the appearance of Sonic. Examples include:
- Big the Cat (whom he was sliced, diced into pieces and had Froggy stuffed inside his eye).
- Gex the Gecko (emerald shoved into his mouth).
- Cheese (limbs ripped off and replaced with chains painted like Sonic's limbs).
- Pikachu (hands ripped off, tongue pulled out, and has Powerball's painted like Sonic's eyes replacing his own eyes).
- Mighty the Armadillo (mouth good wide opened, eyelids were hooked, got his belly cut open which his intestines got out and rings stuffed inside of his body)
- Yoshi is shown to still be alive and horrified.
- Additionally, the remains of Knuckles and Shadow's heads are seen to be hooked up above.
- Kidnaps a man and makes him look like Sonic, and kills him when he doesn't play the part of Sonic correctly.
- Although he committed the first two murders because he believed himself to be Sonic's only best friend and it's implied that from the start, Sonic never saw him as a friend due to his deranged behavior and neglected him. This doesn't excuse his actions, as Knuckles, Shadow and Amy had nothing to do with it, and neither did any of his other victims.
- Due to his horrible nature, vile actions, and getting away with his crimes without any sort of comeuppance (up until There's Something About Amy (Part 6), of course), he comes off as one of the most evil and unsympathetic characters in Secret History and, by further extension, Mashed Media altogether.
- What makes things worse is that SEGA's PR covers this up and still presents him as a hero and a close friend of Sonic. So despite his horrible actions, he is remembered fondly by many Sonic fans for stuff he never actually did.
- In the end, his actions caused Sonic and Amy to be depressed and traumatized, as he was able to gaslight them into thinking they were at fault for the way he turned out to be. While it's somewhat true, with Sonic even admitting that he could've been nicer to Tails, as mentioned above, that doesn't excuse what he did at all.
- On top of that, even Amy (who's presumed to have a crush on him like her mainline counterpart) didn't go out of her way to kill Sonic's other friends. Due to this, Sonic actually considers her to be much better than Tails.
There's Something About Amy[]
- After Dimension Jumping, the first thing he does is kill the Tails in that universe in an explosion and then impersonates him.
- He intentionally gives the Amy in that universe false advise to be driven apart from Sonic.
- Performs unethical surgery on Amy that causes her to be in constant pain out of hope that Sonic would fall for her, only to have the complete opposite effect as he is now repulsed by her. This drives Amy insane, believing that everything she went through was for nothing, and she brutally kills Sonic in her brief state of madness, only to come to and tearfully breakdown after realizing what she's done.
- Hypocritically belittles and criticizes Amy for killing Sonic, even though he played a huge part in the act and has committed other various crimes as they attempt to hide his body.
- Sadistically revealed his true nature to Amy and the fate of her Tails.
- Admits that not only did Sonic already love Amy and just didn't know how to reciprocate her feelings, but that he gaslighted him the same way he did to her by telling him to act distant and self-centered in order to come off as cool.
- Shows no remorse for being the cause of death for this version of Sonic, regarding him as a "sack of shit and quills" and kicks his corpse while doing so.
- His actions towards Amy almost led to her choking him to death, which was 100% justified on her part given everything he did to her and her friends, and the only reason she didn't succeed in ending him once and for all was because he quickly told her that he would take her to Sonic.
- Offers to take Amy to meet the "Real Sonic", which returns her to her maddened state of mind.
- It's implied that his plan is to destroy all the worlds where Sonic exists and create one where everything is made in the way he sees fit. To further this idea, it appears that his machine not only can send people to other worlds, but drain others as well, as Amy's world appears to be drained of energy after both she and Tails left, leaving all life there to be destroyed.
There’s Something About Knuckles[]
- While it’s revealed that Amy did most of the work in convincing Knuckles to give into his anger, it’s heavily implied he was the one who convinced Amy to serve as the devil on Knuckles' shoulder and make him angrier, which leads to him giving into his wrath and becoming the new Titan.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- While he is taken seriously in There's Something About Amy, he is ultimately too comedic for Pure Evil and Near Pure Evil. Even ignoring how his actions are in Secret Histories are black comedy, he is subjected to a lot of slapstick in the subsequent episodes of There's Something About Amy, such as getting defeated in a slapstick-heavy manner by Cream the Rabbit and throwing a comical tantrum over it, much to the chagrin of "Perfect" Sonic.
