Go away!
~ Marshmallow as he did his own escort on Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf.
DON'T COME BACK!
~ Marshmallow yelling at Anna and Kristoff after pulling them up to his level at the cliff.

Marshmallow is a supporting character in Disney's Frozen franchise, serving as a minor antagonist in the first film. He is a massive snow monster created by Elsa to protect her from intruders at her ice palace.

He was voiced by Paul Briggs.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Heinous?[]

  • He abusively threw Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf out of Elsa's ice palace upon his creation.
  • When Anna nailed him with a snowball, he terrorized her, along with Kristoff and Olaf, by chasing them down the fjord.
  • After he got stunned by Anna hitting him with a bent tree, he uprooted the tree and threw it to the edge of the cliff.
  • When Olaf grabbed onto his knee to keep him from harming Anna and Kristoff, he kicked him over the edge of the cliff.
  • He pulled Anna and Kristoff up to his level just so he could yell, "Don't come back!" at them, and when Anna cut the rope, he walked away without batting an eyelid.
    • Although it's ambiguous if he knew that the twenty feet of snow at the bottom of the cliff would provide a soft enough landing not to kill anyone, he was shown not to care for their safety, meaning that he was fine if they were endangered at least.
  • When Prince Hans brought his army to Elsa's ice palace to search for Anna, he ambushed them and delivered the first blow after Hans drew his sword by smashing Erik and Francis into a wall of snow behind them.
  • He assaulted numerous Arendellian soldiers at a time by swatting them with the back of his hand.
  • He tried to crush Prince Hans by stomping on him and smashing him into the ground with his fists.
    • Although it's ambiguous if Hans qualified as an asshole victim since he was not yet established to be a villain at the time, Marshmallow still manages to be heinous by endangering his army because Hans' army also consisted of six Arendellian soldiers who were morally neutral and did not intend to cause any harm.
  • When Hans chopped off his leg and caused him to lose his balance, Marshmallow tried to drag Hans down with him as he was falling.
  • Although King Runeard is much more heinous than him for depriving the Northuldrans of their resources with his dam, thereby causing a massive famine that nearly starved the entire kingdom of Vestergard to death and instigating a war with Northuldra that killed dozens of people, he has higher resources due to being a powerful monarch with a large army at his disposal. Marshmallow, on the other hand, is a solitary monster with only his natural abilities.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He is an extremist, as despite endangering people's lives by attacking them and throwing them from great heights, his entire motive is to protect Elsa, who does not mean any harm.
  • He is grey-zoned, as he is not inherently evil, but simply bent on defending Elsa from perpetrators. In addition, he is shown not to care if the people he has to fight are good, evil, or neutral.
  • He redeemed himself at the end of the first film, as the discovery of Elsa's discarded tiara gave him the idea to put it on his head, calming him down to the point where he is never shown to be malicious in any of his later appearances. This is further supported by how he was openly welcoming to let his brothers, the Snowgies, move into the ice palace with him in Frozen Fever, and by how he listened to Olaf's recap in Frozen II without being inclined to attack anyone.
