Marcus Stuyvesant is one of the Partners and leaders of Providence, and one of the three central antagonists (alongside Carl Ingram and Alexa Christine Carlisle) of the Hitman videogame series, as well as one of the three unseen overarching antagonists of Hitman: Codename 47 and one of the three secondary antagonists of the World of Assassination trilogy.
He served as a background antagonist in HITMAN, one of the three main antagonists of HITMAN 2, and one of the three secondary antagonists of HITMAN III, where he would also be one of the two targets (alongside Carl Ingram) of its first mission "On Top of the World".
He was voiced by Iain Batchelor.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
HITMAN[]
- Lead the world by doing so many criminal things
- Oversaw the virus development by Ether & Silvio Caruso in Sapienza who they intended to use as a bioweapon.
- Oversaw the military coup in Marrakesh by Reza Zaydan
- After their plans are foiled they send their Constant Arthur Edwards to Contact Erich Soders to gain control over ICA activities and make them go to war against the Shadow Client Lucas Grey framing him instead of them, while Lucas Grey & his private militia aren’t good people, it’s still bad
HITMAN 2[]
- Gives Agent 47 and Diana contracts to murder Grey’s associates
- After Janus was killed, they make Arthur Edwards go to the Isle of Sgail for his funeral while also ordering him to inject himself with a poison chip as a failsafe so if something happens he can be killed with a remote trigger, thus proving his loyalty and so that they could be safe.
- After Edwards is kidnapped they Fake their deaths to avoid the same fate as him as he was compromised and the other operatives who were killed by Grey and run away, while at the same time, their families have no idea
- Flee to the Burj al-Ghazali skyscraper to lay low under new identities thanks to Haven
HITMAN III[]
- After Edwards exposes them and has all the funds and control of Providence he swore revenge on him
- When the alarm goes off Ingram and Stuyvesant flee via parachute
- In a virtual meeting between Ingram & Marcus with Lucas Grey, they will accuse Grey of causing more damage to them than providence did to him, while Grey points out that Providence broke him and countless other people pointing out their crimes after that Ingram taunts Grey saying that it caused nothing which Grey will then order 47 to kill them both if 47 doesn’t Ingram and Stuyvesant will evacuate by parachute
- Harasses people at the exhibit saying that the “sun” isn't bright enough threatening them their jobs if it isn't fixed
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He cares for his daughter Cornelia
- He is very remorseful over the fact that he never spoke to Cornelia and never told her anything about him faking his death
- He is tragic as when his father died, Edwards came up to him revealing the family's true legacy and his dad also wanted to appoint Eugene Cobb to be a partner rather than his son which still haunts Marcus to this day
- He has a heartfelt sympathetic moment where he reunites with his daughter if Lucy Phillips is driven away.
- He cares more about funding Art projects than World Domination as seen when he makes one in Dubai
- He is insecure about not being as intelligent or charismatic as the partners
- When 47 gets all the targets with the knife he gives his bodyguard the rest of the day off saying that he deserves it
- He respects Lucy Phillips and her work of the Art exhibit
