Malak is the main antagonist of Dark Deception, Dark Deception 2 (possibly), Dark Deception 3 (possibly), Dark Deception: Unchecked Limitations, Dark Deception: Directors Cut and Wiki Deception, and the deuteragonist of Wiki Deception 2. He is a malevolent, power hungry demon who leads a massive army and holds a high position of authority in a dark dimension (Commonly referred to as Hell by Mortals).
Biography[]
Meeting Doug Houser[]
Doug Houser became the first participant to have successfully obtained Malak's ring pieces under Bierce's command, allowing him to obtain a new power each time. As the power of the ring pieces were responsible for sustaining each nightmare, each time Doug would escape, the entire realm would collapse before him, further enraging Malak.
Malak would confront Doug physically within his nightmares, transforming into a phantom in an attempt to kill him after obtaining each realm's soul shards. To prevent him from escaping, he resorted to unleashing more powerful servants to hunt him down, including his loyal pet. Despite this, Doug manages to strategically defeat or escape them, much to his chagrin.
Meeting [REDACTED][]
In an alternate timeline, a young man named [REDACTED] (the main protagonist of the Wiki Deception series) became one of the first participants to have successfully obtained Malak's ring pieces under Bierce's command, This did enrage Malak, but after learning why [REDACTED] was in the relm to begin with, he lowered the ante. Malak allowed him to obtain a new power each time he escaped. As the power of the ring pieces were responsible for sustaining each nightmare, each time [REDACTED] would escape, the entire realm would collapse before him, but Malak says "it's a small price to pay".
Malak would chase [REDACTED], as he's aware of Bierce's true intentionss, but would lower his speed the closer he got to [REDACTED]. He still kills [REDACTED], as "a sickness won't stop him". Malak would send out his stronger minions to kill [REDACTED], and is calm when they are defeted. He plans to intervene before the ring is complete, but fails.
Teaming-up[]
After the event known as "Bierce's Betrayal", [REDACTED] asks Malak to team up to stop Bierce in Wiki Deception 2. Malak agrees, stating they don't have long as [REDACTED]'s injury is growing and he will die. Malak takes him to his "home" and unlocks the portals he calls "The Certain Death Trials". However, he believes [REDACTED] should be able to collect the soul shards, claim the ring piece and construct the "Riddles of Hell". However, Bierce has created Black-Blade, [REDACTED]'s injury in physical form. And it wont let them win.
What makes him Heinous?[]
In General[]
- Over countless millennia he has grown his army and claimed many souls, so it is safe to say his body count is certainly over a few thousand
- Given how that soul shards are the remnants of ones who meet their ends in Malak's nightmares, and how many there are per nightmare, he is also responsible for another few thousand solely because of his servants killing so many people
- Tries to kill Doug Houser (the main protagonist) literally every single time he appears
- In Chapter 4, he has the Joy Joy gang beat up Doug to a bloody pulp before he infiltrates his mind, and in doing so, tortures and mocks Doug with his memories of killing his wife and daughter, even creating a demonic version of Tammy Houser to mark Doug's mind
- After marking Doug's mind, Malak sends him back into Bierce's Ballroom as a kind of 'Trojan Horse', and doing this lets him break into Bierce's pocket dimension
- In Bierce's pocket dimension, he gets 'beaten' by Bierce, but it turned out he was sadistically toying with her, as soon multiple clones of him emerge from the portals before the original stands back up, lights the ballroom on fire and has Agatha stabs Bierce
- Kidnaps Doug and gives him to Mama Bear so she can feed him to her babies
- Outright says he wants Doug's soul torn apart and presented as a trophy on his desk
- While he has comedic moments (no joke some of his dialogue literally references memes), he is still played dead seriously in universe
Exclusive to the Fanon Deception adaptation[]
- Displays the exact same aggression towards a character referred to as [REDACTED] just like he did with Doug, albeit he is a bit more merciful
- His body count is virtually tripled thanks to the Unchecked Limitations expansion
- He is disgusted by how Raksasa treats his minions, however this isn't because of sympathy but because he views it as 'counter-productive' as it increases chances for betrayal
- While he does side with [REDACTED] in Wiki Deception 2 and even lets him go, he does not stop his villainy and continues his wrongdoings anyways
What makes him Inconsistent?[]
In General[]
- He's honorable as he always keeps his promises and is a man of his words
- In fact, the reason why he hates Bierce so much is because she made a deal with him a century ago only for her to not uphold her end of the bargain and seal herself in a pocket dimension
- He somewhat cares for Agatha considering she's his adoptive daughter
- He's a demon, so it's not surprising he does his actions. However, he has a clearly defined personality and thus moral agency issues are out of the equation
Exclusive to the Fanon Deception Adaptation[]
- His care for Agatha is explored more when Golden Flumpty (who originates from the crossover level with ONAF Frightful Funhouse but is revealed to be the main antagonist of Wiki Deception 3) kidnaps her and tortures her for literally no reason
- He's great friends with a lot of other characters such as Pharaoh Zumarud, Chuckles and Venessa
- Has taken pity on certain characters before such as Platini and the Metallic Colossus
Trivia[]
- He is the first fanon Inconsistently Heinous to come from a wiki exclusive story
- He is the first Dark Deception Inconsistently Heinous villain, and also the first one to come from fanon
- He is essentially the main character of the Dark Deception Fanonverse, as he makes an appearance in most of the games
- In the normal series, Malak is often portrayed as short tempered and easily frustrated which took away from the view of him as a threat, as pointed out by CoryxKenshin. In Unchecked Limitations, Malak's more calm tone was added on purpose to make him more intimidating.
