~ Luigi's fall into insanity, entirely obsessed with revenge. |
Luigi is the titular main protagonist of the Mashed series Luigi's Lament. After once feeling lonely and disrespected by his friends, Luigi would make a deal with Bowser to scare his friends, only for that deal to quickly go south with Bowser enslaving them. Luigi would soon become obsessed with revenge and plan to make Bowser suffer for what he had done to him.
He is voiced by Alex Walker Smith.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- He makes a deal with Bowser to capture and scare his friends for disrespecting him. Although Luigi didn't expect this deal to go as badly as it did, he still is indirectly responsible for what Bowser did.
- After breaking out of his prison on Bowser's airship, he goes on to kill countless guards aboard the ship with the help of Mario, Peach, and Yoshi.
- Crashed Bowser's airship into his castle, killing his wife and son.
- Many others who were inside of the airship may have also died.
- Tortured Bowser constantly after defeating him to a point where he begs for him to just kill him. Whenever this happened, Luigi would hang him in a well above fire while showing him pictures of his family, reminding him of how they died.
- It was later revealed that Bowser died in the well due to nobody feeding him for two years.
- He goes on to kill countless people across the Koopa Kingdom and place their heads on pikes, mainly to just "laugh in Bowser's face."
- While he wanted to bring Bowser back, he didn't do it out of remorse more because he missed the days where he was the boss and the days of crushing goombas with his legs implying he is doing this out of boredom.
- He showed Mario a photoshopped image of Goombas to make him think they were Nazis, which caused him to massacre all the Goombas in his sanctuary.
- He indirectly caused massive destruction on the Mushroom Kingdom after bringing back Bowser with an accidental twist.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is a tragic figure for a few reasons:
- He was constantly mocked and belittled by his friends to the point of making him a deal to Bowser, only to be betrayed by him, who tortured, imprisoned him (and his friends), and trapped him in a cell for years, before he eventually snapped.
- His insecurity, feeling disrespected by his friends and believing they only cared about him for his jump, is portrayed sympathetically.
- Luigi's Lament is a parody series that is played entirely for black comedy, thus making Luigi too comedic.
- He seemed to genuinely love Daisy, being heartbroken when she left him for Yoshi. He even kept a photo of her in his prison cell.
- He does seem to feel remorseful for being responsible for making his deal with Bowser that ultimately lead to his friends being enslaved and the Mushroom Kingdom being left in shambles, claiming he felt even more lonely than before.
- He does genuinely seem to care about his friends despite their initial treatment of him, helping them break out of prison during his escape and seems furious after seeing what Bowser did to Toad.
- He shown to have standards as he’s genuinely shocked after witnessing Toad cannibalizing his own kind.
Trivia[]
- Luigi is currently the only Mashed villain to both be Inconsistently Heinous and Inconsistently Admirable.
