Tom Marvolo Riddle, better known as Lord Voldemort, is the main antagonist of the LEGO games Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7. He is an evil dark wizard, the founder and supreme leader of Death Eaters and Harry Potter's archenemy. He retains most of his original incarnation's prehistory, characteristics and biography, while the only differences being his excessive comic relief personality and comedic moments.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
In General/Background[]
- He plotted to conquer both the wizarding and Muggle worlds.
- Likely he committed all of his crimes during the First Wizarding War, like his canonical book and movie incarnations (since this wasn't contradicted in the LEGO games).
- He kills five innocent people to create his five Horcruxes.
- Overall, he has no redeeming qualities.
LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4[]
- He murders James and Lily Potter, Harry's innocent parents.
- He takes control over the body of Professor Quirrell, turning him into his slave and forces him to try to kill Harry during the Quidditch Match.
- He makes Quirrell try to kill Harry in order for him to claim the Philosopher's Stone to restore his corporeal body.
- In the second part of the game, he tries to have Basilisk kill Harry in order for him to re-open the Chamber of Secrets to satisfy his hatred for Muggle-Borns and again try to restore his corporeal body.
- He kills the Milkman, when the unfortunate man trespassed into his lair and heard his and Wormtail's plan of resurrection.
- Upon his returning back to life in the finale of the fourth installment, he has his supporters gang try to kill Harry and Cedric Diggory. When they failed him, Voldemort spitefully killed Cedric, by blasting the innocent boy on parts (and while it was indicated that Cedric was later put back together by his father, in the fifth part in the next game that was proven to be untrue and Cedric was still dead).
LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7[]
- Voldemort sends false images of him torturing Sirius Black in the Department of Mysteries to Harry, which would cause Harry to go to try and rescue Sirius and lead to his godfather's death at the hands of his evil cousin Bellatrix Lestrange.
- He makes another attempt to kill Harry and duels Dumbledore, even sending a maniacal fire snake at him at one point. He then possesses Harry to tempt Dumbledore to kill Harry by tricking him that he would end Voldemort that way. However, thankfully Harry managed to banish the villain from his body and the Dark Lord fleed, while Aurors saw him, but failed to attack Riddle.
- He orders his minions to abduct Ollivander and destroy a London's bridge. And while this doesn't cause any casualties among the peaceful civilians, but still, these Riddle's crimes stand out.
- He orders Draco Malfoy, a teenage boy, to kill Dumbledore just because he was furious at Lucius for failing to bring him the Ministry's prophecy.
- He tries to kill Harry personally when the protagonist escaped with others Aurors during the mission Seven Harrys.
- He usurps control over the Ministry of Magic and had them induce his propaganda. Before that, he also ordered Bellatrix to hide in a wedding cake and placed a Taboo on his name, resulting in two thugs breaking into a cafe.
- He has Nagini ambush and try to kill Harry.
- His Horcrux psychologically tormented Ron.
- His Taboo, mentioned by Harry, resulted in a skirmish at Malfoy Manor, which led to Dobby's death. He also committed a grave robbing, when he steals the Elder Wand from Dumbledore's tomb, which is corpse desecration.
- He kills Griphook and at least one other goblin (who was being slowly crushed by a heavy cup on his head) for failing to prevent the theft of a Horcrux.
- He sends his entire army to ransack Hogwarts just to ensure that Harry would surrender to him, which was arguably his largest MEH in both of the games.
- He murders Severus Snape, who was (at least what he thought), his most trusted Death Eater, so he could master the full power of the Elder Wand and make himself more powerful and also because he ate the last cookie.
- In the finale of the game, he murders Harry remorselessly and ruthlessly when the boy surrenders himself willingly to the villain, but since he only destroyed the Horcrux within Harry that he had unwittingly created when Harry was a baby, Harry survived. After that, Voldemort spitefully blasted Ron, Hermione, and Neville off of a rock and proceeded to blast at Harry with the Killing Curse, with Harry only narrowly managing to defend himself and finally give the Dark Lord his comeuppance.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- Due to him being a parodic character in the LEGO video games, all of his atrocities were purely played for laughs and not taken seriously in the slightest, which is a severe mitigating factor and does not allow him to qualify even as Near Pure Evil.
Trivia[]
- This version of Voldemort is currently the first and only version of Voldemort to be Inconsistently Heinous, while his both canonical incarnations were Pure Evil.
- He is also the first and currently the only villain from the Lego Harry Potter series to be Inconsistently Heinous.
