Laughing Jack is the titular main antagonist of the Creepypasta of the same name as well as its prequel The Origin of Laughing Jack.
He is an entity that takes the form of a clown who often poses as an imaginary friend to children. However, in reality, he is truly a sadistic and sinister entity who brutally murders children and replaces their organs with candy.

What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- He has both manipulated and killed many children in the past, sadistically and brutally, replacing their organs with candy. He would also take their souls to his nightmarish dimension and brutally torture them, keeping them there until the end of time.
- He gave the mother of James horrific nightmares, making her see his previous victims and his dimension. He would later taunt her over this the next day.
- He killed the family dog, Fido, by tearing him open, stuffing him with candy, and hanging him up, leaving him there for the mother of James to find.
- Laughing Jack later brutally mutilated James by removing his organs, eyes, teeth, and tongue, nailing him to the wall. When his mother found out, Laughing Jack arrived and took sadistic pleasure in his mutilation. When James' mother tried to kill Laughing Jack, he made her accidentally kill her own son by stabbing him in the heart.
- Because of this, Laughing Jack successfully framed James' mother for what he did to James, leaving her locked up in a mental asylum.
- It should be also noted that had James survived, he would have been confined essentially to a fate worse than death, due to Laughing Jack leaving him blind, mute and mutilated for life.
- At the end of the story, it is heavily implied that Laughing Jack was stalking James' mother in the mental asylum, as someone kept playing "Pop Goes The Weasel" outside of her room. It can only be presumed that he is planning on either tormenting her for as long as possible, or even killing her.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He has severe moral agency issues, due to being originally an imaginary friend created by an angel for Isaac Grossman, so he was programmed and supposed to like and go along with whatever Isaac liked, however as Isaac became a serial killer and Jack witnessed his crimes, his mind began getting warped and he started to become corrupted by seeing Isaac's new murderous behavior due to being supposed to adapt to whatever was Isaac's interests, thus Laughing Jack did not become evil out of his own choice, making him an villain by proxy.
- He can be seen as too tragic for NPE, considering his personality was entirely based on Isaac's interests, so there wasn't anything Laughing Jack could do to stop himself.
- Since he's programmed to be an imaginary friend for Issac, his care for him is completely genuine and when he saw him as an adult murdering someone for the first time, he was horrified before unwillingly adapting to Issacs ways, meaning he's shocked to see how his friend who he had viewed as an innocent boy could do such a thing.
Trivia[]
- Originally, Laughing Jack was considered Near Pure Evil since it was believed his moral agency issues weren't big enough. However, after the MA Policy changed, Laughing Jack was removed.
