The Joker is the main antagonist of Warner Bros. Animation's 2017 film The Lego Batman Movie.
He was voiced by Zach Galifianakis, who also played Humpty Alexander Dumpty in Puss in Boots. In the Japanese dub, he was voiced by Takehito Koyasu, who also voiced Zeke Yeager in Attack on Titan.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- He has terrorized Gotham City several times in the past, with mentions to the "two boats" and "parade with Prince music" incidents. It is also implied that he has killed thousands of Gothamites as well.
- He hijacks a plane and threw the pilot out.
- He tries to bomb the city unless the mayor agreed to surrender.
- He tries to kill Batman when he tried to stop the bomb.
- He tricks the other Arkham rogues into getting arrested along with him just to toy with Batman.
- He manipulated Batman (with Harley's help) into sending him to the phantom zone.
- He has Harley release all the Phantom Zone inmates, who are the most dangerous villains in the universe/W.B.
- He leads the Phantom Zone inmates in wreaking havoc on Gotham City, endangering thousands of people with Sauron's lava.
- He messes up Wayne Manor when making it his hideout, covering it with carnival implements.
- He sends his minions to get Batman and his friends.
- He sends Batman to the Phantom Zone.
- He orders his minions to kill Batgirl, Robin (who's a minor), and Alfred.
- He tries to bomb all of Gotham City, which would send everyone into the eternal abyss in either a fate worse than death (what the Lego Movie suggests) or death (which this movie suggests) and would have won if not for Batman admitting he hates Joker.
- While he isn't as heinous as Lord Business, who put an entire city in an "and I must scream" fate, he has less resources than him due to Lord Business being a CEO, while Joker just has a handful of allies.
- While there aren't any confirmed deaths during the chaos in Gotham City caused by the most dangerous villains in the universe, it does not count as Fridge Horror as he already wanted to destroy Gotham, not caring if he could have killed thousands of people, which means he stands out.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He's genuinely insecure, as he wants Batman to accept him as his greatest enemy and is heartbroken when Batman rejects him twice.
- He's kind to Harley and treats her with respect. She's also the only person on his former team who he takes with him after escaping the Phantom Zone with the other villains, whereas he leaves the others behind in Arkham prison.
- He seems to have some slight standards, as he was uncomfortable when Sauron suggested they "make the rivers of Gotham City run red with [Batman's] blood".
- He actually cares for his friends, such as the other Arkham Rogues and despite ditching them at the prison as mentioned above, he makes up with them in the end. He also mourned Sauron's death when Kraken accidentally killed him.
- He is On & Off as he helps Batman and the Gothamites to save Gotham City after Batman admits that he "hates" him, even if it means he is undoing his own evil actions and is not redeeming himself. This wasn't pragmatic, as he wasn't even forced to do this.
- He's happy when Batman isn't forced to return to the Phantom Zone and waves at Phyllis in a friendly manner.
- He has a "pet the dog" moment of him giving the pilot he threw out of the plane a parachute so that he would survive full as opposed to outright killing him.
