J.R. Scheimpough is the secondary antagonist of Netflix adult animated series Inside Job. He's one of two founders of shadow company Cognito Inc. (along with Rand Ridley) and its former CEO.

He was voiced by Andy Daly, who also voiced Memphis Stormfront in American Dad!.

• He shows some genuine honor towards Brett for his selfless help. However, given when J.R. tried to use Project Reboot to recreate reality, it's unknown if he subverted this.

What Makes Him Heinous?

• Both he and Rand buried corpses of ones, they accidentally killed during their time in Harvard University.
• Created Cognito Inc, along with Rand Ridley, as a mean to help the Shadow Board modernize their control over the world.
• Brainwashed citizens of Still Valley into keep acting like in 1980s, which is essentially fate worse than death, solely so he could sell them so illegal/dangerous 1980s stuff. This is something that even Reagan called him out for.
• Has Kraken sank his own yacht, just so he would recieve insurance money from incident. In fact, when Jeff Bezos was on boat, when that happened, J.R. considered it as bonus.
• While originally wanting to stop Rand from destroying reality with Project Reboot, once he discovered that Andre, Myc, Glenn and Gigi has successful timelines, J.R. hypocritically decided to use Project Reboot to recreate reality in his image. In process, he also shot-off Reagan's left pinky finger.
