THE ALL-POWERFUL ■■■■■...
THE ■■■■■ HELD THE POWER TO BIND A SOUL...
THE ■■■■■ DESTROYED THE ENTIRE...
~ Gerald Robotnik's Journal describing Ifrit.

The Ifrit is the overarching antagonist of the 2007 racing video game Sonic Rivals 2, a sequel to the 2006 action-racing video game Sonic Rivals.

He is a fiery demonic monster from another dimension full of fire and ruins, presumed to be the result of destruction caused by the Ifrit. To become invincible, he must eat many Chao.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Heinous?[]

In General[]

  • While attempted planetary destruction is very commonplace in the franchise, he has fewer resources than The End or Solaris, and he stands out due to having the overall kill count composed of two worlds and successfully destroying one.
    • Although he was a pawn in Eggman Nega's plans, he also desired to destroy the world rather than just following Nega's orders, meaning he doesn't fail the standards to him.
  • While he is a mute beast, he is nevertheless able to mind-control other characters to serve him, with them even calling him "master," proving that he's sapient.

Background[]

  • He destroyed his own world, turning it into nothing but a wasteland devoid of all life. Since city ruins can be seen in his dimension, said world clearly had sapient life, which he had destroyed.

Sonic Rivals 2[]

  • He tried to enter Sonic's world to destroy it after the portal to it was open. It's indicated that he succeeded in doing so in the timeline Silver comes from, as he states that the Earth will look the same as Chaotic Inferno Zone if the Ifrit isn't stopped.
  • He mind-controlled Sonic/Tails and Knuckles/Rouge into trying to kill their companions to prevent them from stopping him.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He has zero characterization, as he has no dialogue or any other hint of personality, making him a Generic Doomsday Villain.
