Stop hand

The Gryphon is the planned main antagonist of the unmade Godzilla (1994) TriStar film that would become the 1998 Godzilla TriStar film.

It is an probe sent by an unseen alien race to wipeout all life to colonize the Earth but would meet opposition from the Atlantian creation Godzilla trying to defend the Earth from it.

Its Evil Ranking[]

What Makes It Heinous?[]

In General[]

  • Since it is the central antagonist of the unmade film it don't need to compete with the likes of King Ghidorah or Gigan.
  • It has no redeeming qualities.

Godzilla (1994)[]

  • When it landed on Earth it transformed an bunch of bats into Probe Bats to collect DNA for it to use which killed many animals and people before it killed them once it extracted the DNA samples.
  • It would terrorize an Utha town before taking off to fight Godzilla.
  • In the climax of the film it would battle Godzilla in New York City, likely endangering the millions of people in the city as their fight ends up causing some destruction including destroying the Twin-Towers (since it was before 9/11) and attempting to kill the human characters.
  • It would've wiped out all life on Earth if Godzilla didn't put astop to it and don't rely on fridge-horror since human weaponry had no effect on it and only Godzilla was able to injure it.
  • While it's defeat by Godzilla is brutal it was played for satisfaction.

What Makes It Inconsistent?[]

  • It lacks characterization and while it is described to be intelligent, it is too minor characterization to make it an insufficiently characterized Near Pure Evil making it an "Generic Doomsday Villain".
  • Even if it had more characterization, it still wouldn't be Pure Evil or Near Pure Evil since it was created by aliens to colonize the Earth, making it have massive moral agency issues and an Villain by Proxy.

Trivia[]

  • It is the only Unpublished Inconsistently Heinous so far.
